A good morning here in arctic Sweden.

I’ve been positive towards him since he signed. One of the best defensive talents to come through in Allsvenskan in recent years.

I like his overall game but it has to be said he is painfully slow. I can't see him ever being a mainstay in the team because of it.

 

It’s lack of pace is a big concern, but gave us a great night in the end.

 

See if we went to a back 3 and he played as the central player I could see him being useful. He is pretty aggressive in his defending and both aerially and on the ground. His lack of pace would need to be covered by at least one of the other centre backs right enough.

I thought Rocki looked solid as * before his injury, and Lagerbielke showed flashes of ability, much like Ajer when he first featured.

Those two pieces of business were two I was most happy about in the summer, Starfelts position all tied up, let them duke it out to be partner to CCV.

Even more frustrating theyre getting thrown under the bus by Rodgers whilst he plays an utter mucklord loanee. Doubly so that some fans were slating them so early.

CB is the one position we shouldn't be concerned with.
But somehow find ourselves asking * is happening with these guys.

 

Could be the old problem players coming in without Rogers knowledge and he's decided he's not playing them and rather play his own man in Philips .
But he was really in a corner last night and had to play Welsh and then had to bring lager on last night.
I hope I'm wrong but rocki and lager looked ok when we saw them at the start of the season so why aren't they getting a game if CCV is injured.

 

Should be a big boost for his confidence coming on and scoring not just his first Celtic goal but an injury time winner in the Champions League thats pretty big. Credit to him for coming in from the cold so to speak and making such a big impact last night.
For me overall on what we have seen of Lagerbielke he seems like somewhere in between the bullshit project taking a wild punt signings and signing someone first team ready. There is a decent player there but he needs time and it remains to be seen whether he will make it at Celtic.

 

I can't help wondering if we would have lost to the Ayrshire huns if he would have played instead of that big Diddy Phillips

 

I'm sure someone has already said this but playing born slippy for him is genius. Easily one of the best.

 

He may not be open to it, as he's an internationalist etc but a loan move in January might be best for him..

CCV, Scales, Welsh and Nawrocki to cover the rest of the season..

 

We definitely need to move on 1 centre back, I'd sell Welsh over loaning Lagerbielke out though. Sending him out on loan 6 months into his time here would be the end of his Celtic career I think.

 

Crazy how stocked we are at centre half man. Out of all 5 of them I don't want any of them missing out on game time. Mibby we should replace Rodgers wae Craig Levein and play a 5-5 or something.

 

Nah, not for me Welsh is the perfect squad player, happy only to be used when needed.. we're also short of homegrown players for Europe..

 

Aye that is true, I do quite like Welsh. We only need 4 centre backs though and I would just worry if CCV has bids in the summer and if we send Gustaf on loan, I think he wouldn't be back, we could be left with Nawrocki, Scales and Welsh

 

Loan with no option, maybe in Scotland, get him used to domestic games here.. like I say he may not be open to that..
