He scored a hattrick against Sheffield United less than 3 weeks ago.

There’s a difference between fringe player and squad player, which Nketiah probably is. He’s not so much a first team player. He’s also on about £80k a week… so again. Absolutely no chance.

That’s all potato po-tah-to if the manager wants rid, which is the rumour, apparently.

Don’t kid on that you don’t understand that loaning clubs often pay part of wages to get players out on loan.

    Honestly, man…

I've watched the Raith Rovers GK Kevin Maciej Dąbrowski a few times and he is big, strong, and not afraid to come out and claim crosses. He is also a tremendous shot stopper and wouldn't cost us a fortune. I'm also sure there must be a decent LB here in Scotland and/or the English Championship who we could go for that also wouldn't cost too much.

Yes they do. But Eddie Nketiah is going to have plenty of suitors down south who can pay ALL his wages.

    It’s not * rocket science.

The ex Hibs goalie that was pish and got planned out to the championship before getting sold to that level. He might do well at that level but absolutely not.

The English championship is not a good market, wages and fees are inflated down to English ego, not saying there's no good players but you have to pay over the odds for them.

Mate, it’s happened before that we’ve beaten English teams to loans for EPL players, and you know it’s not unreasonable to suggest we try it again. Imagine investing so much effort pathetically trying to rubbish a perfectly valid suggestion.

More plankton for the ignore list…

He wouldn’t he one of them though, he’s been the main striker for Arsenal at points in the last 18 months, the 2nd best team in that league in that time and currently top of the league team.

He would never accept moving up here as a loan option, and if he somehow did it would be under assurances he’d be playing anytime he’s fit, with us alienating players like Kyogo and Oh by doing that in the meantime.

    That’s a non-starter for so many reasons.

It can be a very good market as well though, one we’ve done exceptionally well out of, it’s about picking up the right guys at the right time, who have the right attitude and are a good fit.

It’s not a market to overly focus on but it’s one I’d be raging if we didn’t know inside out.

Samir Handanovic is a Free Agent, would be easy to bring him in for a year and see if he is a better option than Hart in the short term

I’m sure he retired did he not? If not must be near 40 by now. Not seen him play for 3/4 years but he was different class at that point and the decade previous but age can sneak up in they 3/4 years. Especially that age. Think 40 is the very upper limit for a keeper. But pretty sure he retired this summer when he left Inter anyway

I thought I saw something that he was looking for a new team but that was in the summer so maybe I am wrong, he is 39 which is pretty young for a GK

Noticed that Arnau Tenas the ex Barca B keeper we were loosely linked with in the summer got into the fifa team of the week for PSG.

Had no idea he signed there.

Lucas Bergvall and Momodou Sonko. Couple of young prospects from Sweden.

Would love to see this sort of team for January.

    GK- Kovacevic (Rakow)

    RB- Johnston
    CB- CCV
    CB- Nawrocki
    LB- Araujo (Estoril)

    CM- McGregor
    CM- O'Riley
    CM- Gronbaek (Bodo/Glimt)

    RW- Osman Bukari(Red Star Belgrade)
    ST- SVH (Bologna)
    LW- Palma

That would probably cost you in the region of £25m. If Abada goes, which is likely, we would get a decent fee of around £10m for him. £15m net spend but that team looks far * better with a good chunk of investment. Gronbaek would be O'Rileys natural replacement for me come next summer when we likely cash in on him and Hatate/Holm/Iwata would be ready replacements in midfield. We could also get £1m or so from selling Turnbull in January and around £2m for moving on players like Seigrist, Kobayashi, Bernabei, Ideguchi and Johnstone.

Anyone know anything about Brazilian football and how hard it would be for a Scottish club to sign talent from there? Could imagine the board trying their luck with a punt with 24 year old CB Bruno Mendez out of contract from January supposedly.

South America is such a weird one for me. The young prospects coming through go for absolute millions to the rich clubs. See Vinicius/Rodrygo from Real Madrid and now Endrick is it? Then Barcelona get a youngster from them. Chelsea have spunked an absolute fortune on lot's of Brazillian youths. PSG are now at it, too.

The same is now starting to happen with the Argentinean league. Prestianni is on the move to someone big. Alvarez went to Man City... it's starting to become the next one where countries pay big bucks for the youths. Pretty sure the young River Plate winger is heading to the big clubs too.

While it is a couple of leagues that are often watched by the big clubs, you don't really see many older players (23 and over) move straight into the bigger clubs. Think Napoli signed someone at CB to replace Kim.. Natan was it? He's a monster. So, not really sure if we would be able to compete for signings like that. The problem is, certainly in Brazil, it's so difficult to buy players because of the 3rd party ownerships and Brazilian Clubs pay pretty good wages so it's difficult to attract them here, initially.

Few players we should be looking at from Belgium.

Mohammed Amoura, 23 years old and plays up front for USG. 16 goals and 2 assists in 23 games this season. He looks really good. Valued at £4.5m on Transfer Market

Cameron Puertas, 25 year old attacking midfielder for USG, 24 appearances so far this season, 5 goals and 15 assists from midfield. Valued at £4m on Transfer Market.

Aboubakary Koita, 25 year old Left Winger for St. Truiden, 11 goals and 1 assist in 19 games this season. Been the best performing player in the Belgian league this season. Valued at £2.3 on Transfer Market.

Kevin Denkey, 23 year old striker playing for Cercle Brugge. Major Dembele vibes with this boy. He's a * unit, quick and powerful. 15 goals in 19 appearances this season for a club sitting midtable. Valued at £6m but when you see his goals and general play up front, you can see why. Moussa Dembele in all but name.

Nicolas Madsen, 23 year old DM playing for Westerlo. Not a defensive midfielder who's going to fly into tackles but he's a strong, powerful defensive player who keeps possession well and does exactly what he needs to in that position. Good for chipping in with a goal too. He's scored 7 goals this season from defensive midfield. Only valued at £2m but has been performing very well in Belgium this year.
