I don't think that's Rodgers' MO tbh.

I will always think to KT and I'm still just flabbergasted by how Rodgers pushed and pushed him.

However, I was a wee bit surprised by his changes at the weekend. Maybe Leicester has taught him lessons about player management.

Here's hoping anyway, because Cal DEFINITELY needs a breather imo. I know ppl will say * off it's only November. But he's not a kid anymore, despite his baby faced assassin demeanor, and if his game time isn't managed he could break down.
Given the state of our squad right now, and the evidence of the last window, that would be a * disaster. To have BOTH Cal and Hatate out.

 

Need a big performance from him tonight. I think he has been poor the last few weeks and not had a great season overall. Tonight he has to be at his best I feel for us to have any chance of getting something.

He's been at the heart of some of the worst European results we've had. Quite often personally responsible too.

I just don't think he's suited to the role we play him in it's just highlighted much more in Europe. For me he still plays his best football going forward if we had signed an out and out holding mid that lets Mcgregor take Bernardos place tonight and we look much more solid in the middle.

 

That's summed him up, not done one thing right. Horrendous from him today.

Do agree his play in Europe at times has been drastic in terms of causing goals and chances.

Really needs to * off out our box, causing all sorts of problems tonight.

 

We'll never win a game in the CL with him starting in the middle for us.

 

We get all we deserve by constantly playing him as a CDM in Europe.

A wee guy whose best qualities are keeping the game ticking over. Genius to play him as your defensive shield.

 

He's the one constant in these embarrassments. He's very much the one to be worrying about.

The sooner our managers realise that, sign a natural defensive midfielder and play him in his natural position the * better for everyone

Pish header for their first goal. We need a proper holding midfielder. Said it last year, still saying it now. Need to improve quickly as he has been poor this season.

 

It was a pish header but Bernardo (and no one else) closing the shot down was worse.

It's a major concern..

McGregor is class but we need much more in that engine room to protect us and compete..

 

Bernardo is pish. I said the other day I’d have gone with Iwata and McGregor. Iwata is at least a natural holding midfielder. McGregor needs to get his finger out though. He has been rotten for weeks.
