I actually think you could drop McGregor on form alone at this stage.

Took his goal really nicely, great first touch, really could/should have had an assist as well with the cross ball that ended up going behind Maeda, looks like he got caught in two minds of playing it across for him or cutting it back to Kyogo.

Oh has an excellent goals per minutes ratio. If he was told to go out and earn the chance to start games then he's definitely owed some places in the starting XI.

Oh Hyeon-gyu offers solution to his Celtic game-time problem - and it involves Kyogo Furuhashi
Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu has offered a solution to the difficulty he has faced in dislodging Kyogo Furuhashi from the team ... he can play alongside him.

The Korean international arrived in January from Suwon Bluewings as a replacement for the outgoing Giorgos Giakoumakis, the Greek striker departing for the MLS having become disillusioned with playing second fiddle to the prolific Japanese sensation.

Now Oh is facing a similar struggle in his attempts to become a regular Celtic starter having not yet featured in a first XI for any fixture so far under Brendan Rodgers, with 10 substitute appearances providing him with an average of 14 minutes per match this season.

A stunning finish, off the bench, for his first goal of the campaign which proved to be the matchwinner against St Mirren on Wednesday night can only help the 22-year-old's cause.

It came when both he and Furuhashi were on the pitch together and Oh reckons the duo can form a formidable partnership if paired together from the start.

“Kyogo is a great player," he said. “I want to play with him in every game so I was so happy that we combined for the goal on Wednesday

I think we make a good partnership. I learn from him every day in training.

“Every football player wants to start every game but whether I get five minutes or ten minutes I will always give my best for the team.”

On his St Mirren strike, which came six minutes from time to clinch a 2-1 win after team-mate David Turnbull had levelled Colin McMenamin's surprise opener for the Buddies, Oh added: “I feel so happy to score my first goal of the season. It felt amazing when the ball hit the net.

“To be honest, it’s been a very difficult time for me when I hadn’t managed to score this season.

“But the gaffer said to me: ‘always keep going, keep going,’ and I have been working hard every day in training.

“It’s been great to have that support from the gaffer.

“He always gives me confidence because he believes in me. That’s very important for any player.

“I now want to score more goals this season."

Should have had his goal, and worked his * off.

I want to see him and Kyogo together more. He was at the right place for that double save. Also made good runs. I think he was through on goal, if Holm had found him with that late run.

Had a good game. Laidlaw made a couple of cracking saves against him.

Should score some of the chances he has, but it annoys me that his game-time feels as though it's reliant on whether he scores in the previous game.

He did more than enough to earn more starts in games like this. Maybe even on Sunday against Aberdeen after the trip to Madrid.

He's a real handful. Defenders don't like coming up against him because he can rag doll them whilst at the same time he has a bit of quality with the ball at his feet too. When crosses come into the box there are about 2 or 3 opposition players keeping their main focus on him. Naturally, that helps others get some space should the ball fall to them (e.g Forrest today).

He's still raw and has a lot of improving to do. But it's so so clear he'll score plenty of goals for us if he gets the chance. People go on and on about Giakoumakis as if he was an irreplaceable option. I fully believe Oh could fill his boots if given the opportunity.

Also loved him getting into those fans who refused to give the ball back at 3-0. Trying to win a league here and every goal counts.

Something about him I really like

I like him. Passionate player, gives his all, determined to succeed. Different to Kyogo. Unlucky not to add to his tally again today. Def more to come from him.

Also needs to stop beating himself up so much when he misses. Always comes back for more which is great, but noticed how disappointed he looked at full-time.

Hopefully realises he put in a very decent performance today. I'm sure the manager will be the first to acknowledge that behind the scenes.

Shame about the disallowed goal and their keeper having pretty much the game of his life.
    Really like the big man.

I've always said he was a good player. I thought he played well today and was unlucky not to have a scored a couple of goals.

We need to play him more.

There’s defiantly a player there. Have to remember he’s only 22 as well
Has a great attitude. The manager has comment a couple of times this week that he’s very professional with a great attitude

I might be wrong but I don’t think he spoke English when he came either so has obviously worked massively on that too

a few games, goals, confidence he will be a real handful

He’s got everything in his game just needs to find composure, almost trying too hard at times. A shame for him cause 2 in 2 games would of been a huge confidence boost. Hope he gets plenty involvement vs Madrid, need a bit more physicality in Europe.
