Been a terrific servant but by * he is worse than a man down now. Should be nowhere near a starting jersey and it’s bordering on negligence by Rodger’s to start him.

    Great player?

He’s had more poor seasons that good ones to be honest.

Will agree to disagree if folk don't think he's served us well during his time here. Personally think he's played his part, and excellent goal return. Time he moved on though.

He just doesn't really impact games any more. Seems unwilling (or incapable) of taking a man on. Two good chances in the past two games and you'd expect him to put both away. I don't like criticising a guy who's given a lot to the club but I feel like he should be at the stage where he's an emergency backup for us, not a starter.

I think this will be his last season in 1st team.
He is currently on 476 appearances for Celtic. and just has enough games left this season to join the other 17 Celts on the list who have achieved the feat of making 500 appearances for Celtic.

He was finished two seasons ago as a starter. If he's to remain here he should only be used to give players a rest when we are winning games. Waste of a jersey Last night

Rodgers comments makes it even more strange the other day, clearly he’s finished.

Needs to be told it’s over.

this strange love in that Rodgers has with him needs to be questioned. fair enough he's a cracking professional etc but he should be nowhere near starting a game for us or coming on to get a result at Hibs. Why do all managers have someone that they just can't let go??

Been an absolute fantastic servant, responsible for some great memories and critical goals.

He's a great lad who has a predisposition to show his third leg in public, but the time for him to be starting games barring an absolute nuclear event that wipes out every single winger at the club are done. He simply shouldn't be starting games.

It's sad now to be honest. He never should have still been starting games for us at this point, should have left a wee while back and gone to a mid-table SPFL side where he'd have started and smashed it. He's been an amazing servant.

He was unbelievable under Rodgers previously, but I think they couple of good seasons back then skew opinions on him over the course of his career here.

He’s had a fantastic career here and contributed hugely to success, but last night should be the last time he steps foot on the pitch for us.

Unless we're absolutely ruined by injuries and don't have another option, the only time I want to see him on the pitch now is if we're romping a team by 3+ goals and he can come on to rest someone.

    I feel sorry for Forrest.

He was one of our best players under Rodgers. He was brilliant for us and his stats backed that up.

Injuries have ruined him and it doesn't look like he will ever get close to his old form.

No wonder Rocco Vata wants to leave when this guy has been playing ahead of him the last couple of years.

Even then why not just give the minutes to someone like Vata? Sends a * message to any young or fringe player if Forrest is getting on over them even when the game is won.

Never been able to understand how an experienced professional who plays football for a living cannot hit the ball in front of goal with his bad (left) foot and instead tries to twist round to hit it with his good (right) foot.............and misses

I'm struggling to understand this experiment of playing Forrest again.

Does Rodgers maybe think he can get Forrest going again like he did back in 2016-2018?

Is it just nostalgia, like turning on Fifa 12 for old times sake? Can't bin him as there's hardly anybody left from the previous eras.

I've defended Forrest for years, like the guy, he's gave us some big goals, some big moments when we needed him, some big European goals. I wish he would give us a final season of his old form, but it's not happening.

We've gone from Jota to Forrest and * Mikey Johnstone floating about the starting 11.

    What the *

Sorry James but your time is up with Celtic.
Time to drop down a division or two, go now while you still have credibility with the team you have served so well over the many years.
