I love episodic comedies, much more so than serialised and one of my faves in recent years is Motherland. I can relate to quite a bit of it although sadly no male characters I can relate to. Julia's husband is an absent father, Liz's ex is the dad who turns up on a weekend gets the hugs and cuddles but doesn't deal with the hard stuff, Kevin is a bit of a * and Amanda's husband plays away.
However my missus is like Julia, the class has a mum exactly like Amanda and while I don't know a Liz I know people who have an ex like Liz.

    Top Boy is up there.

Kano in particular deserves an award for his portrayal of Sully in (the rebooted) season 3,outstanding.

Really enjoying The Thick of It ATM. Political comedy at it's finest with Peter Capaldi a force of nature as Malcolm Tucker.

Remember the woman bemoaning that she was barred from the shop for calling the owner a Bin Laden *. I’ve never called embdy a Bin Laden * she protested. The big guy Marvin that had Bullet was a Celtic fan.

I’m 2 seasons into a Breaking Bad rewatch.

Haven’t watched since it aired, even better 2nd time round.

Don’t know if it’s the greatest series I’ve ever seen, but welcome to Wrexham. The detail on the fans, what they have been through , stories of the community, player’s history , etc really isn’t like something I don’t think I’ve seen before. Could have been so cheesy and just using the same old formula but it really is just brilliantly done, the bits to camera the two owners do are worth watching it alone lol.

Not sure if game shows count, but Would I Lie to you is absolute quality, some of the funniest stuff come up on that, Lee Mack and David Mitchell are amazing as is Rob Brydon.

Some of the best comedy TV does involve Bob Mortimer on that though.

One of the many reasons Vince Gilligans masterpiece is the GOAT. Masterpiece being both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul as a single entity.

    Nothing will ever come close.

Series that I absolutely loved and thought whilst Sopranos is my no 1, the 3 or so seasons of Deadwood made it my fav series till it cancelled, however due to Sopranos longevity it has to be no 1.

Al Swearengen is possibly my fav tv character of all time.

    Almost finished watching Kingdom

    https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3673794/

It's about an MMA gym & family. Thought it started as a bit of a slow burner but the second half of season 2 and season 3 are sensational. Was planning on watching the final 2 episodes tonight but the second last one has floored me, need to give it time before watching the finale

Loved Kingdom , saw it a few years ago , the boy who plays Jay was in the Black Donnellys a great show from 15 odd years ago that crazily only lasted 1 season but was set up to last forever I thought

Jay is one the most interesting complex characters I've seen on screen in along time.
