Not going to be critical of anyone in that side today. Shout out to the much criticised Joe Hart who was a tower of strength at the back. Callum MacGregor had a great first half and in the second we defended like Trojans.

That’s some result. Could’ve been 3/4 they only got chances when they flung everyone forward last 10.

Goal was mental man could’ve run in with it or square it for tap in but hits it first time from outside box, insane finisher.

    Monumental.

Came under huge pressure but I couldn’t be more proud.

Hart - Unreal performance, came for every ball he needed to and big saves.

Johnston - Looks a level above in these games, never looks under any pressure.

Scales - MOTM for me considering everything.

Lagerbielke - Nervy, Shaky. Recovered well. Good in the air in the end.

McGregor - Back to his best.

O’Riley - A monster defensively at the end.

Maeda - A mad man, terrible final product but his pressing is unmatched.

Abada - Always a threat, should of had an assist.

Kyogo - Should of had 3!

Holm, Oh, Yang, Ralston and Bernabei all contributed when they came on.

Taylor and Turnbull are the only ones not getting a pass but they have to take the result positively and crack on.

That is a simply remarkable, priceless victory.

I, like most, did not have very high hopes after seeing the line-up for today - but that result is absolutely terrific.

Hart had a good game, didn't really put a foot wrong and had a few good saves. One thing that's clear to see is his feet are much slower than they used to be, especially when trying to shift the ball out from under his feet. Can't be hard on him though, didn't make any mistakes.

Lagerbielke looked green and shaky - but it was a huge occasion with so much pressure, so that's understandable. He was part of keeping a clean sheet despite some slip ups, so well done to him.

Scales was brilliant, didn't look out of place at all. Looked solid, reliable and played a huge part in the victory. I think if a new signing CB put on that performance we'd be hailing him as a hero.

McGregor was the heart of the team, especially in the first half. Controlled the pace, had so much space, picked his passes well and great work rate. That was the kind of McGregor performance we're so used to seeing -- he can't be taken for granted.

Maeda was immense. It gets parroted a lot, but his work rate is utter brilliance. Contributed so much to today's performance, done so much defensive work and didn't get them a second. Fantastic.

O'Riley again looked solid, done what was expected of him and didn't really put a food wrong. Great passing, won 100% of his tackles too. Flawless.

Holm was such a standout when he came on. Top level ball carrier, drives at defences and and creates opportunities. He'll play a key role going forward, very high ceiling if he keeps it up.

Kyogo missed a few chances but ultimately he was the difference maker and that's what he does so well. He has moments of utter brilliance that win games. Fantastic player.

Bernabei and Ralston both looked solid when they came on, again, didn't put a foot wrong - done everything needed of them.

Yang has the skill, flair and dribbling but definitely work to do on his end product and he's very lightweight.

Oh didn't stand out much at all in the glimpses he had, think another striker will be brought in, in January.

It’s excellent - snd we will have a hun-free CP for the return fixture - with hopefully a much more settled team and an injury free (or at least fewer) squad.

    Love days like this.
