I think people genuinely think that there are only two budgets when it comes to Celtic... and the disparity between them means we can't shop in any other window.

I wasn't asking us to go out and splash £15m on Rieder. When we all got done by that * moon unit from KDS, it generated mental excitement. And I get that players like Nakamura, who went for £9m, maybe wanted to go to France.

I've been using this link all the time but we signed Holm from Norway. A young, upcoming, promising player for £3m from Valarenga in Norway. He looks good and he would have been excellent to bring in and play at the base of that midfield when we wanted to give McGregor a rest or to cover when McGregor got injured. Why didn't we go out and sign the best midfielder in Norway, though? Hugo Vetlesen. £5m he cost Club Bruges. He was the absolute IDEAL replacement for Aaron Mooy. He was actually better. Goals and assists galore in Norway and in Europe. * embarrassed us with his ability in the midfield when we played them in 2022. He's about as close to proven quality as you can get.

I'm all for signing players like Holm and Yang, but when priority positions need upgraded on, so that you can go to the 'next level', you don't then fall back into the trap of turning Yang/Holm into first team players.

Its been fairly apparent for a while that we need a new number 1 goalkeeper. Given the fact we have the money to spend, its negligent that board are not improving in this position.

 

I feel more sorry for the fans that pay good money for their ST's and all the money they spend on matchdays etc.

That's the thing the boys coming in are fine and I think a couple could turn out good. But they are not for right now.

I think it's very unfair to expect these boys to come straight in and be what we think they could be and could argue the ones who are expecting it are the delusional ones.

We need as proven as possible quality right now as we can get while these other boys take time to settle in.

 

He did say not 'many' more though, that's not no more, was no need to take it as us being done for the day and start flipping out like some have the last few pages.

 

No matter how he sets us up or who he starts with .....if we lose to the huns the support will be all over him. I have no doubt that he wants the best that he can get and that he's desperate to succeed but I've a feeling that personally he's not going to win either way.
