I think Yang deserves to start but I think Maeda will play due to his defensive work rate. It could be a game that suits Maeda as he will most likely run into the space on the counter.

Its vital we take our chances and get service to Kyogo. We need to create for him and prevent him having to come into the 10. If he does they will just push up onto us and compress the middle of the pitch for us.

Both Yang and Maeda can and should play.

Kyogo dropping off is an intentional tactical instruction by Rodgers that has cost us already. If Kyogo is in the wrong place, then we can't create chances for him.

Maeda starts for me, he always causes the huns problems, ebough of Kyogo coming deep, have him on the line and he'll have soapy and Goldshun flat. Either Abada, Palma or Yang to partner with the other 2 on the bench

Midfield needs steel, I would be inclined to go McGregor, O'Reilly, Iwata, that's why we have the defensive mid signings of Iwata and Kwon, but this is not a game for Kwon. Holm, Turnbull, Haksa as bench options

    Defense of;
Taylor, Lagerbieke, Philips (if he's here) AJ
Subs of Ralston, Scales for defence.

    Hart in net obviously
    Bain or Siegriest on bench

Weak points in that, Taylor will get targeted, but Maeda puts a shift in and supports the left flank defensively well. Midfield will get roughed up, they'll likely have 2x thug types on + foreskin and cuntwell, up top probably matondo and one of the strikers

Defense on their side is to be gotten at, they'll leave gaps as the fullbacks are needed to be there creative outlet so we should be going down flanks.

    Tavpen Goldshun Soutar Sterling (probably)

Butland, has looked decent for them so far but ehh nothing too special,

They'll be looking to dive for set pieces as usual and we will get * all from the ref. It's not going to be an easy game because we're both playing * right now. Drop the ego Brendan, take up what was working under Ange and integrate that in to clear things up with the squad and have a clear picture coming into this one, make changes if it's not working, make the game be played on our terms.

McGregor and O'Riley playing deep but supporting Bernardo when we're going forward is out best bet here I think, with the full backs providing options on either side.

If we pick our moments to get up the pitch we'll have plenty of talent to hurt them, as long as we stay switched on at the back and don't give away cheap possession we'll hammer them.

    Wee Kyogo will score.

Maeda hasn't been in great form but starts for me, pretty much every time he's played them he keeps tavpen pinned back in their half because he'll do him for pace if he gets caught too far up, he's still their best attacking outlet so I'd say even if Maeda doesn't have a great game going forward it's worth keeping him out of the game.

On form Maeda shouldnt start at all. Id be tempted to go with Yang and Palma if i were Rodgers. Im not convinced Maeda can play in the new system unless we start to play more direct and quicker. He is technically found wanting. But for this game against Rangers, especially being at Ibrox, I fully expect him to and i expect a performance from him.

We need to get the ball to Kyogo in the box. Its like when Harry Kane was coming short for Spurs. If he isnt in the poachers position, he cant be there to get on the end of crosses, etc. we have players who can and should create, but we dont have any who can finish like Kyogo.

In the last game we seen numerous crosses where Kyogo wasnt in the poachers position to strike. We need to play to his strengths.

Deserves to. Has been one of the few who gets pass marks in the teams recent slump in form.

I don think any sane Celtic fan would disagree with this. I think we'll be doing very well to leave with a point for all the reasons you've stated.

Think your right. If we were to win I could see them imploding. A draw would leave us in a good spot as well. But unfortunately we are a mess ourselves with the team and even after the beautiful viewing last night I think they have with home advantage the favourites tag for this one. Personally under the circumstances I would take a point right now and be happy with it. I think as we start to get our injured players back and begin to gel hopefully I think then we will be in good shape but we are miles away from been a good settled side right now ourselves.

Bad news. I suppose his replacement is faster?
