Holm doesn't seem like an Ange signing, but otherwise, the point is valid. And we have a Legia link of sorts.

There were plenty rumours that Ange had been shopping himself about down south for months.

I really hate this *. I would do anything legal to hurt him. I wouldn't do anything ilegal, but there must be people he loves more than the old firm brand.

Perhaps they could be targeted- legaly- to persuade the * to * off.

He shouldn't be involved with us any way. He's played a massive part in us not going up a level over the last 20 years.

Guessing he got banned, good, vile *.

To stay on topic, Nicholson, Rodgers and Lawell JR are the ones who need to be asked serious questions, throwing the blame straight to Lawell is letting them off the hook.

They have time to put a bandage over it, but serious questions need to be asked in general in regards to this window.

Why is he at the club in any official capacity? He’s failed drastically in his ‘efforts’ to take this club forward.

Does any other respectable, forward thinking company (no laughing at the back) have the same * kicking about for two decades?

Did he fail to? Pretty sure he’s oversaw the most trophy laden, the most successful we’ve been since 67 in the top European competition and built us up to a level that we’re rock solid for revenue we bring in whilst negotiating deals with major manufacturers like Nike and Adidas.

    compare to those before him.

We should not undermine or underestimate what he actually brought to the club for us.

Because doing that dismisses the reasons he should be genuinely criticised during his time in charge here. And it’s squarely down to a ego that grew larger the longer he was here, and a absolute faith in thinking being just good enough to be successful but not pushing to be as successful as possible was enough.

He done a lot for us and was major for our success, but he will always be the guy that took us just to the cusp of pushing on to something more but not wanting to.

He’s in an official capacity here btw, cos the * has some amount of contacts and respect in the offices that run the game. And they’re aw *, so makes sense that Lawwell rubs elbows with them.

I dislike him majorly but I’m not unaware of what he’s done in his time here. Frustrating * man. Lack of ambition through his spine.

Why Mark Lawwell btw? He’s * all to do with bringing first team guys in, he just provides a list of guys he thinks would be good to be here. After that, and him building up a folder on they players of why they should be here, its out of his hands.

Youth guys, aye thats more who he can bring here but I’m unsure if Chris McCart is still that guy or he’s largely useless now.

He has overseen two decades in which our fierce rivals have been liquidated, reformed, and reached a European final before we can win one European * knockout tie.

His abysmal lack of proactivity and outright arrogance in his managerial appointments and refusal to improve the squad from positions of strength has heavily contributed to us losing out on easily attainable multi millions over his time here.

Ferencvaros, Malmo, AEK Athens, Cluj, Maribor.

Even the CL qualifiers Rodgers negotiated in his first spell we had Eoghan O’Connell and Saidy Janko starting at the back for * sake. Utter negligence.

Any success we have had has been in spite of him, not because of him. If you could use one scenario to sum up his tenure it’s his arrogant declaration that he refused to acknowledge or consider any other candidates’ application for the managerial post, and instead appointed his friend who had failed at Hibs and Bolton.

Unprofessional, negligent, complacent. That’s the kind words I can think of to describe the job he’s done.

Criticising him for his part in our European struggles is fair. Negligent and unprofessional is nonsense.

He was the CEO of a multi million pound company who publicly acknowledged that he refused to consider applications for the managerial post, and instead appointed his friend.

    One scenario of many.

Unprofessional and negligent is being incredibly kind.

Aye that’s what he said to the press to back his appointment. He trusted Lennon and thought he’d do a good job again as he had done before. He was right in 2019/20, we had a successful and enjoyable season.

We don’t need to go over the covid season again, it was a perfect storm where it started badly then just got continually worse. That’s not solely on Lawwell but he takes a share of the blame. Unprofessional and negligent don’t fit Lawwell. Complacency, perhaps at times.

There is fair criticism that can be levelled at him, but from those ties you mention, there have been individual errors on the pitch from players where we had a squad good enough to win or go through. It’s easy to point the finger at Lawwell but the fact is, we had unprecedented domestic success with him at the helm.

4 trebles in a row, 9 leagues in a row. The Invincible Treble was never done before, then a double treble seemed insane. Then we added another two to that? Mental. So aye we can criticise Lawwell a fair amount but you also have to give him credit for his part in our relentless domestic success. Negligence and a lack of professionalism really is just nonsense.
