If they want to sell we have no chance, still reckon Newcastle or will get him.

Still see him ending up at a team like West Ham, Villa or Everton.

No way should we consider buying Tierney. If he were to come back to Scotland I'd reckon we'd get 2 partial seasons out of him before he would be out injured for most of the season.

He'd be targeted no doubt plus I don't think Scottish football is really the place to be more generally if you are injury prone, which Tierney certainly is.

Think a loan would be a mistake for us, Arsenal and him for the same reasons but risk would sit with Arsenal mostly. Not keen on it either way, despite really rating Tierney.

If Arsenal want to sell they need to get a loan where he can prove he is worth buying, I don't think us or Sociedad provide that

He doesn't need to go on loan to prove he's worth buying. He'll get a proper move by the end of the window to a decent team in my opinion.

Got to remember that Tierney was never 'Arteta's player', so to speak. He was signed by Emery but did a job for Arteta when the only other option was Kolašinac.

As soon as Arteta started stamping his authority on the team it began looking precarious for Tierney. He signed Tavares to compete with him and even dropped Tierney a few times for Tavares even though the latter was/is a dreadful footballer.

Then he signed Zinchenko to replace him and even when he was injured last season Arteta would play Tomiyasu instead who isn't really favoured either. Now Timber and even Kiwior are used before Tierney. So he's effectively 5th choice in his natural position when two of the other guys are right footed and not even left backs. Isn't Kiwior a CB too?

Arteta clearly doesn't rate him and I can kinda see why. But he shouldn't be that far down the pecking order.

Know a lot of folk were a bit miffed with him for leaving but I'm disappointed it hasn't really worked out for the boy at Arsenal. His talent and quality isn't in question and hope he finds another club soon. I don't see us getting him due to the finances involved and I wouldn't push the boat out due to his injury issues, but hopefully he gets a move he's happy with.

Trouble is an EPL team could spend £10 million plus on him without skipping a heartbeat

I know it would be a risk but if he's available for £10m, we should be breaking our transfer record for him. Yes, he's injury prone but he's been free of injuries for the last season and a bit.

I think a loan with an option to buy for a £10m would be unbelievable business from us.

I’m glad cos if he was playing him we’d have no chance. Would love if he came back, a truly quality player.

Where is this injury prone thing came from? Last 2 seasons he has been available most weeks, aye had 3 or 4 spells on sidelines but can happen to any player

Genuine question mate. See if you aren’t playing is there not a bigger chance of not getting injured? I’d love him back, but just remember towards the end with us he had loads of injury issues. Guess that’s what medicals are for though, hopefully behind him. I’m fully on board with this if they are, a great player who cares about Celtic. No brainer. Plus he plays right back for Scotland doesn’t he? Could fill in if AJ is out and Taylor could stay left until AJ is fit.

He barely played last year mate, that's why, and I still remember him coming off a couple of times for Scotland.

Fact is he's had jnjury problems almost every year of his professional career bar his first and last - that definitely qualifies as injury prone. Not his fault but it's burying your head in the sand to suggest he's not a risk.

Aye, using last season as a reason to prove he can stay injury free doesn’t really wash.

I genuinely doubt he can play 5 or 6 games in a row without a knock.

He's missed basically three months per season other than last year and his first proper one with us. At least according to TransferMarkt. I definitely wouldn't trust him to last a whole season with us and would rotate him heavily if we did bring him in.

Lovely lad, and a true Tim, but us spending big money on him to bring him to a league where he'll get kicked senseless every week is crazy on all sides... It was the hammer-throwers in our league that * him up to begin with
