there’s a few positions that we could/should realistically improve on especially to do well in Europe, my point is that we could improve 10/11 spots on our team but if we stick with Hart going into this season then it’s not good enough

Been quite alot of noise around for the CB we need which is great but still no real noise for the other positions of need which is worrying.

Means 1 of 2 things, either we are working away in secret (which is hard in this current day and age) or we really could be struggling to get players in.

 

Hard in this day & age if you’re the Huns, not if you’re us. A number of our signings over the last couple of years have appeared from nowhere without the media (or the supporters) having much of a sniff in advance.

We are not in a good place right now, with a ropey keeper and poor quality full backs.
So, as most already stated, a keeper and LB are urgent priority. We may get away with both domestically but never in Europe.
Obviously with Starfelt going, another center half will need to be brought in.
So that's 3 major signings that are absolutely necessary.
Anything else, for me, would be in the "nice to have but not urgently required" category.

Also think we could do with another striker. The Asian cup in January could mean Maeda, Oh and Kyogo being unavailable for a month. We could wait and see if all three gets a call up and then take action in the January window as we have a couple of weeks in January before the winter break ends so we could get a loan in or something. But I still think we could do with a third striking option in case of injuries. I know Ajeti is still on our books but hopefully he will be moved on this window.

 

If we have 3 or 4 players called up I think we have 2 routes, suspend the games or play Abada up front. Although I'm not sure how much Oh will play so could hinder his chances.

Hibs (A)
Scottish Cup 5th round if we make it.
I can't see Japan or South Korea doing worse than QF so likely won't play any of them. Chances are they will get to the semis really.

 

Swedish CB looks good but it’s essentially one in, one out so it doesn’t strengthen us.

Had big expectations for this window (not as far as your Reider level signings) but the reality of the window so far is disappointing.

Have lost Jota and still not replaced him.
