    Watched his goals for us a couple weeks ago, think because of how good Sutton and Henke were together we sometimes forget just how much he was a giant for us. Outscored Sutton and kept him out the team a lot, 3 strikers of that calibre in the same team is something we’ll never see ever again.

    Closest since was a young Eddy on loan, Griffiths and Moussa. And it doesn’t come close to it.

    Had the pleasure of meeting the big man on the River Boat Casino on the Clyde many years ago. We had a wee talk about all things Celtic and then he bought my wife and I a drink . One of the good guys

    Totally agree, one of the few that was always happy to chat to fans, give autographs and have pictures with supporters and give his time willingly, love the big guy but it was a special time under MON.

    It says a lot about the man that I actually believe him. I used to lap this stuff up when I was young; but now, I usually take it with a pinch of salt. In his case, though, I believe him.

    Yeah Hartson is as genuine as they come. A smashing big guy who loves the club to no end. Pure good vibes from him as well whenever he's on the telly.

    There's a group of ex-Celts who seem to support us and always stick up for us in the media, such as Big Sutton, John Collins, etc; but there's a small group that seems to have a deeper connection even than that. I'm thinking of John Hartson, MON, Tom Boyd and (I more and more think) WGS too.

    Has to be one of the worst commentators out there. Constantly fumbling over what he’s saying and getting players names wrong ( our own). The worst thing about champions league games is needing to listen to his dry commentary

    He is a bad commentator :giggle1:

    Csnt remember what game but we scored and he just goes “YESSSSS!” In a pure fan way instead of what you’d expect from a commentator. Hard to explain in words but my mate burst out laughing when he did it :giggle1:

    Never forget when he said Connor Sammon “has to be scoring there” when he missed from the half way line :giggle1:

    He’d be better suited to Celtic tv. Still I wouldn’t ever say a bad word about the guy, taken the club to heart and seems to be a proper good *.
