For those saying the wingers we have signed don't replace Jota as they don't have the same pedigree prior to signing. The same was said in Januray when we signed AJ to replace Juranovic. Personally I think AJ has proven to be an upgrade.

I see both sides of the argument..

With the loss of Jota and Mooy and 5, varying degrees of projects signed, we look weaker.

However, I've got a good feeling about the two Koreans and Nawrocki looks a class find. Shame Tilio is injured and Holm comes with potential too. You'd expect 1 or 2 of them to hit the ground running especially the Koreans who were mid-season..

It is, a massive ask for any of them to make any sort of impact in Europe and that's the kind of signings we need. Getting those type of signings over the line though, with our league and wage structure isn't easy..

Nicholson has been excellent in the transfer market and has earned some patience from us. If you add Rodgers into the equation and assuming he has sought certain assurances and has now assessed what HE needs for the squad. There's no way we don't add some real quality..

Possibly some of the recent transfer links were a little far fetched, but hopefully there's something in the positions we are looking at GK, LB, D/CM & LW/RW...

AJ had just seriously impressed at a World Cup though, to play devils advocate

Not sure why people's desire to make any argument under the sun to justify the fact we sold arguably our best player for 25 million (close to our record fee) and subsequently haven't replaced him with immediate quality.

I wouldn't say my panties are wet but they are a wee bit on the moist side. I was hoping we would have got an established GK and LB in by now but, as people as saying, we still have another week before it all starts in earnest and we do have a habit of signing big players from out of nowhere.

Finding someone of Jotas quality with our wages and transfer policy won't be as easy as people think. We robbed Benfica

Juranovic had a great first touch and some engine but the rest of his game was pretty mediocre. Before AJ came in most said he was the better defender.

I think Yang will be good but surely we can't keep gambling on projects and unknowns to replace pivotal players? That's a massive risk we don't need to take.

Fitness, speed, first touch. All class.

Defensive positioning, crossing, passing. All mediocre.

I don't understand why people think it's that easy, players like that don't grow on trees in the market we shop in and constraints we are under.

He was also quite late in the window right? The first year I mean.

The players we might be targeting may be holding out for a better league. Honestly don't know why this is hard for people to understand.

He had but Juranovic was probably the second best right back at the World Cup with many thinking we would get £20M plus for him. A lot but not all thought that AJ would be a downgrade which is my point. We need to trust the recruitment team to find the players to improve the squad. The time for worrying and moaning is post deadline day not with a month still to go. We signed Boli and Elhamed in 2019 at the same time as Frimpong and Taylor. Most thought Frimpong was a B team signing and Taylor wasn't good enough.

I do get the frustration to an extent but it's pure tedious watching folk write paragraphs and how we should do this and that better and * the board and it's all Lawells' fault or whatever.
Let it play out and have some faith, I'm looking forward to our 4 x 6-8m signings on deadline day.

They may not get to a better league since clubs also have multiple options in mind, and a good offer attached with a 10 day deadline for them to accept should be enough to achieve speedy signings.

Because plenty in our support cant handle us not being every player’s preferred destination.

Exactly, we will have our top targets all lined up and made contact, they might even be open to coming here, but they could also have had contact from clubs in stronger/richer leagues, or clubs it's still up in the air if they'll be in europe or not, or at what level, and players having all the power these days will be happy to sit tight and weigh up their options while the qualifiers unfold. Some of our fans seem to really take the hump at this notion, like every player should be kicking the door down to come here just because we're Celtic and they can * off if they don't, go sign someone else ASAP because fast business is the same as good business in their head for some reason.

I get what you are saying but I think giving players ultimatums is not the best idea.

Players hold all the power these days.

We are a huge club, this is not green tinted specs it's just fact.

However we play in a * league with terrible weather 90% of the year.

If a player is open to coming here and has indicated so but rightly wants to weigh up their options then we need to accept that.

I'm sure come September 1st we will be in a great place.

Mental that some people think that hahahahha Juranovic was * class. Had one or two bad performances at left back besides that he was great for us in his short time here.
