5 signed and the jury's out on them until given a good run of games, meanwhile league starts in just over a week and we haven't replaced the quality lost in Mooy and Jota. Underwhelmed verging on concerned is where I'm at.

Even if we hadn’t lost our best player (arguably) and another key squad member (Mooy) this still would’ve been underwhelming business so far. Can’t see it changing now either; 2/3 more £2m players be added and and they will be it. I hope the scouting and with a little bit of luck atleast 2/3 of them make it here.

 

I’d like a goalie and another winger but I’m not as pessimistic about our business as some. We’ve signed 5 players.

Need to trim the squad badly though and I’m sure that’s a reason for not bringing in others.

 

There's a month to go in a window we are supposed to be trying to sign genuine quality. I'm not expecting them in the door until the last two weeks of the window. No one knows whats going on behind the scenes, folk need to calm down with the narratives they create in their own head.

Dont really think its panty wetters tbh, weve lost someone who provided big numbers in regards to goals and assists, also lost mooy who at one stage was performing as our best centre mid.

These players need replaced with absolute quality who can hit the ground running if we are to improve in europe which i hope is our goal.

 

This for me is a huge issue I have 8 maybe 10 and not including B team players who need moved on either sale or loan

This is exactly what we need to do, and the thing is almost all fans can see that. Where I think a lot of the frustration lies (for myself included) is that we don't appear to be making any progress on that front. I think if we were appearing to be shifting deadwood folk would be a bit calmer about not bringing anyone in, or vice versa, but we've now got basically a month left of the window and - going by what you've rightly identified above - a * shitload of work to fit into that month. I just don't believe at this stage that we'll manage to do everything we really need to.

 

Don't see it like that at all. Looking across the forum majority of folk are clear in what they want and the positions needing addressed. This was apparent before Jota and Mooy left. No surprises the earlier you get folk in, the quicker you can embed them with the squad. Doesn't help matters when the club are releasing statements of a surplus of cash either. Doing this as the season starts isn't ideal and against a transfer deadline. There is time of course, but it's quickly going.

From the 1st of Feb to now, is the first 11 stronger. No. Its not. Folk want genuine progression and it may happen, but right now it's an unknown with the recent additions.

With our 11/squad as it is now, how confident are folk of going to the shitpit and taking 3 point. Like it or not, they are our main rivals for success. I reckon folk would have been more confident with Jota and Mooy here than with the current squad.

Any quality added in GK, LB, LW,CM increases that confidence massively and helps us in Europe also. Something I want to progress in also. I'm not content just being in the CL for the sake of being in it. Realistic progress as well. 3rd place in to Europa is fine for this year.

A few need to go as well undoubtedly. But this shouldn't stop us moving on targets we want. Need to see progress next week on transfers. And no more projects. Quality only.

 

We haven't replaced Jota it's really as simple as that. Arguments start and finish with that.

Go back over last season and the amount of times Jota done something or scored a goal to pull us out the *. This is all fact and not opinion.

There's never a guarantee spending money will replace like for like but at least * try.

 

The only nailed on starter we're missing right now is Jota, and while he was great for us even at his best we were never a one man team, if Rodgers can't get results from the off domestically with the current squad we've got far bigger problems to worry about. It's getting a slightly higher quality of player in for europe that's the bigger deal, but better quality players have more options and some will be waiting to see who does and doesn't get through the qualifiers before they make any moves, it could take all window. I don't see why some people need to hit the panic button like all other teams have their business done by now and we're the only ones in the world lagging behind, comments like typical celtic dragging the * out of it, when there's nothing particularly unique one way or the other about our rate of buying players.
