listening to the wummin commentators on the World Cup, trying their best to try and make the wummins game more exiting than it really is.

Now I know I'm an old fud but, one of the worst things they ever did was bring women commentators and panelists into the men's game. Total turn off for me and there's enough women's football nowadays for them to carry on doing what they do with there football cliches, and trying hard to sound like john motson without ruining the mens game.

Now I'm off to put on my tin hat ......

Stovies are the business. Under-rated as *.

    Everyone makes them different though.

Im just pretty simple with it. Square sausage, tatties and onions with a wee bit gravy put in at the end. Big buttery piece with Scottish plain bread. Plant the stovies right on there. Butter aw running doon her hand when your eating it. It is utterly amazing.

Only closely rivalled by a piece on mince. Which is also out of this world

I dont watch woman's football. It is pish. And what gets on my nerves is people who try to insinuate that I am some kind of sexist because I dont like it. I dont like cricket or tennis either. Its just sports I dont watch. Same with woman's football. Its pish. The standard is pish. And its nothing to do with it being women. Its the same reason I wouldnt go out my way to watch Stirling Albion v Elgin City. Cause its pish

When I was younger I was working on a site just outside St Andrews building a driving range, there was nowhere to eat and my mate was like aye there's a shop that sells stovies about 2 miles up the road. We jump in the van drove to the Stovie shop, aye it sold gas stoves and agas.......... Will never forget that * poor lunch break, ended up eating a packet of ready salted walkers that were roasting and been in the side pouch of the van for about 8 months :56: * love stovies tae!

Mate played semi pro football, good player. Had three boys, first two played footy and cricket but nowhere near the level of their dad, but like he said, they enjoyed it and had a bit of fun doing it. The third one Charlie had no interest, would disappear for hours on his mountain bike into the woods, loved it and eventually entered local competitions riding downhill, became pretty good tbh. His dad is a chippy and would drive him all over the uk riding in comps, then eventually over a lot of Europe in his own works van, having time off and spending a fortune on travel and accommodation to get him there in time to practice.

Today Charlie Hatton at 25 has just become world downhill champion. Stayed in the pub after watching us play today and the place erupted lol.
