    Embarrassing result, friendly or not. We came to Japan for exposure and this is what we show to Japanese fans...not to mention what our Japanese players must be feeling. Coming to a much better club on paper and getting a "big" move to Europe only to come back and get schooled. FFS we buy their best players and they trashed us. Don't care about them being deep into the season, us only getting up to speed etc. We went heavy into marketing for this tour and now can't see us getting any new fans after this shitshow.

    If you want routs of pre season Tema swe could do a Bayern, play the full first team against a 9th tier club and win 27-0. But that does nothing for us, challenging ourselves against a top Japanese team is a great call. With close to a first team lineup we were 3-2 up. Went 3-3 with just the goalie change and then after the wholesale changes that don't happen in the real world we lost.

    It's highlighted areas to improve and we can then work on that in training and make signings for the real games

    Calm down mate ffs :giggle1: we had summers, Kelly, McPherson, scales, welsh, bernabei, siegrist etc all on 2nd half for the last 30…. It’s a pre season friendly we had a good first half then brought on some young n fringe players to get them minutes, the defence looked woeful but don’t worry too much about that result

    If anyone is genuinely “embarrassed” about a 6-4 loss in the first decently competitive game of the preseason then they’ve got a problem.

    The whole point of preseason is getting back up to fitness, trying new things out and identifying flaws in the squad that need addressed. We’re doing it in Japan against quality, well organised opposition and making money in the process.

    I’m really not losing any sleep over it. Not the first time we’ve lost to Yokohama by the way. They did us 3-0 the last time we were over there.
