    2 signings made so far, i suspect they were already in the pipeline before Rodgers, manager will assess the squad, no need for any panic regarding signings, we will be spending hopeffully on the right type of players who will improve the team.

    I trust the recruiitment team, we are in a very good position, doing things in the correct manner, no last minute desperate pointless * nilly token signings.

    There is a plan in place. :BR1:

    I was arguing against your premise that we just need 4 club-grown players to get to 25. That's not enough. We need homegrown too. Doig fits the bill. It's not like there's an endless pool of scottish talent. If you can think of better option(s), fine by me.

    Agree to disagree on the comp with Taylor. For the record, I believe Doig will gradually transform into a CB or DM. Big/tall players are better suited at central positions. I view him as a potential partner of CCV: a ball-playing, left-footed centre half. That's exactly what we need. Can't think of many 1.89m wingbacks. He can run up and down the pitch at the age of 21. Highly doubt he'll be doing it for the duration of his career.

    I would want someone else for the other side. A more proven player for sure. If Abada was on the other wing though, I wouldn’t be concerned.

    But I've read "signings are coming soon", "don't worry" , "trust Lawell/ Rodgers/ scouts/ club", "Rodgers' was promised ABC, so big signings are coming"...

    And we've still seen * all. Pre season has already started ffs .

    I think you somewhat addressed part of what could be an issue there though. Rodgers has come in, and needs to view the squad and see where he thinks needs strengthening. Obviously, he'll have an idea from Kennedy and watching our games, but he might want to see the players in training, and the international players aren't even back in preseason yet.

    I think over the next week or two, we'll start to see things ramp up and some signings in the door. I don't believe that we'll suddenly start spending tens of millions, but there's surely no chance we break our record fee, qualify for the CL, and don't sign a few players of decent caliber.

    Would be ideal to have a CB at least before we go to Portugal. Going into the league games with 1 fit CB that's good enough is a recipe for disaster.

    Don't mind the other positions taking a bit longer, but that's one we need to hurry up on.
