Well if this is true good luck to the lad* and lets get as much as possible for him. To do this, and in this case only, I'd offer to forgo a sell on clause to drive the initial fee higher and make a point of telling the buyers we have X amount to pay and that needs to be added to the final figure - we are the sellers and can try and make the terms to suit us as much as possible.

On the cut we have to give to Benfica I cant see how any Club would accept this to be based on the gross figure received.. it is only basic common sense and more importantly good business sense for this figure to be the net amount/figure (after we deduct our initial transfer fee) especially if that cut percentage is as high as 30 percent.

*If this is true the remuneration he will be offered will be night and day from what we could ever compete with, so if they want him they will get him basically.

If the reports are true then we better be getting more than just over 20 million for him.

And pushing for 30 million due to them * having an endless pit of money.

Simple as that, * gutted if he does leave and it will be a massive blow, no doubt about it.

This window is giving me the fear.

If what we signed him for is irrelevant, then what we got for KT is also irrelevant..

£30m would be great but £25m not too bad for me.

Anything less than £30m and we've been bent over here.

Whoever is sanctioning a deal of £20-£25m needs emptied ASAP.

Honestly I'm pretty numb about outgoings these days. I can accept players leaving but we're not getting the best possible deals for our players. Giakoumakis and Juranovic should have went for more. If this is true about Jota then he should definitely be going for more.

What the eff are we doing? It's honestly giving me the fear.

If he goes, then, Celtic should go out and make a statement of intent by buying a £12-15 million player - I won’t hold my * breath though.

100% agree we got shafted with both JJ and big Jackie.

Should have got much more for them both.

    * HATE pre season!

Months of this * ahead of us.

Rumours, lies, malarkey, balderdash, bullshit, ITK *, and worst of all.... every opportunity for the scum rags to report on any negative Celtic story while lauding over any bit of feelgood pish that comes from elsewhere in Glasgow.

He's offski, even romano is saying it's very close. Just hope for a good fee and that it's reinvested, the club better let us spend big.

Yeah I can see us reverting back to our old ways unfortunately.

If we sell Jota and another one or two key players, as fans we should expect the club to push the boat out and spend upwards of £60m. It's definitely possible, especially when Rodgers' budget is apparently £30m, we have champions league football, the Frimpong and Tierney bonuses etc.

But no our best players are getting linked away with underwhelming transfer fees and we're getting linked with cheap projects.

    I've seen this story before.

    Romano reporting it now ffs.

Gutted to lose jota but I hope the club really demand a record breaking figure considering he's got 4 years left.
Also glad he's going to Saudi and not epl if anything.
