Brendan Rodgers is set to make the most of Celtic’s foothold in the Far East as the new Hoops boss prepares to bring his own style to Parkhead.

Incoming gaffer Rodgers is preparing for his big unveiling in Glasgow on Friday. And the ball is already rolling in the search for new talent – with the Asian market exploited under former manager Ange Postecoglou remaining an area Celts are targeting. It is understood Hoops chiefs have already made initial contact with South Korean side Gangwon regarding winger Yang Hyun-jun. And Record Sportbelieves Celtic are also scouting Gwangju pair Eom Ji-sung and Jeong Ho-yeon in the K-League.

Good market to scout but we need some quality in this summer with proven ability in Europe.

Don't mind a couple more projects though.

Glad we’re still heavily looking at these markets, some cracking talent in Asia.

Im currently living in Korea in Busan but I used to live in Jeonju so went to a lot of Jeonbuk games last season and although the Korean league isnt the best standard compared to European leagues its got some good players. The boy from gangwon looks a player. Saw him a few times and was always a stand out in an average team. The striker we wanted from Jeonbuk is good too and Jeonbuk also have a korean national team midfielder who looks a player. Good market here. Going to try to get to a few more games here before i leave in September for Taiwan.
