Your second paragraph is why I disagree with the first.

I won’t be watching Spurs but I hope he does well. These things reflect well on us a club and is a huge reason why we get dembele dollars and they just dream of them.

It’s maybe good our players do well but I don’t want to go down the route of losing managers. For me him flopping is better for us.

It is and it isn’t. I presume your argument is that him flopping means teams are less likely to poach our managers? The counter argument though is that teams being less likely to poach our managers makes it less likely for quality managers to come here at all.

We’re a huge fish in a tiny pond and the reality is we’re now seen as a stepping stone to the EPL. I’d much rather have seen the likes of Ange, Virgil, Wanyama, Edouard etc here for a short period of time than not at all.

Yeah not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand I want him to go down there and shut the fuds in their support up by ripping it up and prove us all right - but on the other hand * spurs I hope they continue to be a perennial joke club who win * all.

I get that mate I honestly do. The sad fact is if our managers do well they’ll be courted.

I’m still stunned that Ange went from us to Spurs. Not because I think Spurs are a bigger draw than us, just that it never happened with better managers like Martin and Rodgers first time.

Can’t help thinking the Ange path was mapped before he even came here, and not just by the man himself.

I'll be happier with the latter mate. A support full of *, and wee * now as well :giggle1:

There's probably a happy medium where they win a league cup and get mocked for celebrating it like a champions league win.

I've always seen us as a stepping stone for players and how it benefits us in terms of bank balance and attracting a better quality player. I suppose now I need to accept that this needs to apply to out managers as well.

You want him to be successful, but deep down you really want him to fail badly and make a right * of himself. :56:

Aye it’s pish mate. Cannot understand it myself. It’s all about the Celtic to me.

I genuinely would be wondering why Ralston moved to Real Madrid if it came about.

The back up RB at Celtic is a bigger honour than first pick at some arsey club that spends more than it earns.

I’m trying to come to terms with it though, * hard though.

Heart attack 8 months ago and navigating 9 hour shifts talking to complete dunderheids. I’m having a belter mate :giggle1:

Listening to Dylan just now, he slows the heart rate down.

    Peace.

For me there is no "deep down". I outright. And upfront, want him to fail so badly that he never gets another job offer in Europe again.

    Not so sure of that.

Think his true colours came out in his final Celtic Q&A and Open Goal interviews, where he knew he’d be away.

In Open Goal, he compared the level of the 80s semi-pro Australian League to the SPL, and in the Q&A didn’t really talk Glasgow up when asked about it.
