    No, it isn't mate.

Ange has left us with a thriving football department, a united squad brimming with talent and potential, and healthy, VERY healthy bank balance.

Rodgers is a proven paycheck manager. When the well dries up, so does his teams' ability to play football.

I'm not worried whether he can do a job or not, I'm worried what state he'll leave us in when he goes.

I think that all managers are capable of doing that. I don't think we can hang on to any successful managers after 2 or 3 seasons now. Ultimately they will all do what BR did. Ange left and he's not looking back. Yes he left us with some pretty good players but he seemed to lose a bit of interest in that last run in. Pre-occupied with going elsewhere. Gave us all the sound bites and helped set up a Japan and South Korea tour. If we get emotionally involved we take it harder when they leave. Whose to say the board wont be mindful of this when signing him on for a 2nd time. Maybe a better contract to tie him in. I think that you're right he's got to rebuild his reputation so this might be a good thing for us.

Life is too short honestly, if others want to be negative that's fine each to their own, but if Rodgers does return i'll celebrate and look forward with optimism rather than get bogged down with negativity, lifes a * it can be unfair at times, you have to roll with it and enjoy the good times.

    This * heat is killing me ! :67: :85:

Rodgers won the FA cup with Leicester, also had 2 top 5 finishes, not bad for a paycheck manager.

    * signed yet or no?

End of the day, how he left was * poor to the fans and it's up for debate if it's Rodgers or lawwell that's the bigger * that * over the players as well - my money is on lawwell.

Between them, they need to figure that * out.
Is lawwell agreeing to * out of it all and let Mark do the recruitment side and Nicholson dealing with the CEO of the football club?
Is Rodgers coming in, accepting that mark Lawwell is the recruitment guy and that he needs to accept that some players will be signed for the club and that he's not the godfather of Celtic?

I think if they can sort that * out - and refuse congerton a * job - then things should be alright.

Rodgers is an egotistical * at times, full of his own * to say the least. But I reckon he's not a * enough to walk out mid season again.
I think he will address it in part, then never talk about it again.
I know fine well he won't be here forever, expect two seasons and gone. So be it.

However.... If he can find his place within himself not to be an egotistical *, he potentially could work at Celtic for the rest of his career now.
Here for his own personal 10 in a row, build a squad that's consistently improving, then move up stairs to a specially appointed DoF sort of job.

If he's a true Celtic man, isn't blinded by the epl any more, then Rodgers can be quite literally a guy to make a Celtic dynasty.

Pie in the sky though. Give us the two years, win us a treble in there, do well in Europe, jobs will come calling.

Most of his success at Leicester was with players who were already there. The team deteriorated under Rodgers and eventually he got them relegated !!

He’s not my first choice and I completely understand people’s reservations as I share some of them myself and as much as he does come across very self absorbed, if it’s a case of him or Maresca, Farke and some of the other names being banded about he’s definitely a better option than those managers.
As others have said we don’t necessarily have to take to him personally and that might not be a bad thing all things considered but as long as he’s coming in with the right attitude etc then I’m fully behind him and the team tbh.

With life being to short then I'd like to see Lennon get another crack at it sometime when the books are as healthy as they are now. If this * Rodgers is getting another chance again then so does Neil Lennon! 6 weeks ago the thought of Rodgers back with us would have sounded ridiculous but now he's our new manager. It sounds ridiculous now that Lennon would ever be in our dugout again but never say never.

He's got my backing and support every bit as much as Ange and O'Neill etc.

Youre awful wrapped up in stuff which has no direct impact on you whatsoever. And I'm Sure Danny McGrain never lost any sleep either.
Back the team, and give it a rest with your holier art thou routine cause it's boring as *.

Ah, but he needs to be near the job to do just that.

But honestly, think he's a class manager, he does have a severely bad reputation for third year downturns, but even then, he has us on course for a treble that season as well anyway.

Back the lad, refuse to let him have (too many of) his own staff and I reckon he does fine.

He needs to address the question though, why did he * off, is he going to apologises and will he do it again?
