Must admit I was hoping for Knutsen or Potter at the start and then Iraola aswell after a few days. Only because the chances of getting Rodgers I thought were low and more wishful thinking.

I thought deep down it was Maresca and I was so underwhelmed, but now I’m getting so excited at the thought of this summer.

An absolute box office appointmen if it happens and hopefully a few box office signings to come in.

Must be honest but I will be disappointed if Rodgers comes back, yeah we could do a lot worse but I had hoped the bar would have been set higher.

Agree. Rodgers is by far, i mean FAR, the best manager out of all we are linked with, including Knutsen, Iraola etc. Those managers could possibly be very good, but they are not even close to Rodgers currently. It is amazing that we can attract top class managers.

Footballers and managers, will always chase money as would anycunt with a rational brain. If someone is offering me double my wage. I'm gone. If you say otherwise, you're lying.

The more i think about it , the more I'm coming round to it.

Positives are we get a very, very good coach who's been there done that, who will elevate an already good squad. Personally think some players had plateaued under Ange. Maeda, Jota, Abada, Oriley and Hatate will reach higher levels under Rodgers.

The negatives are we cant ever trust him and have to expect that * be off after a season or two if a decent EPL job comes up. We, the fans, probably will never have a close attachment to him. Is this such a bad thing though? Were used to getting our hearts broken, at least this wont happen this time.

If he does the job for us then great. We leave romantic nonsense out of it and treat it as a finite business relationship.

Suppose another positive way to think on it is Rodgers knows he needs to do well coming back up here. After the Leicester job his stock has taken a hit, it’s all or nothing with us.

With that I feel he’ll come in with a point to prove and to make amends with the fans, only way to do that is more trophies and push on in Europe. Last 32 of EL is a minimum with the backing he’ll get.

If it's Rodgers just back him, no point throwing toys out the pram. We're a football club, not a soap drama.

I want someone that carrys on anges way, give us 65 minutes of fast as * football where we can hurt all teams even champions league teams, don't think Rodgers will do that which means massive change of players and spend out with our means I'm not a fan of this were no a massively rich epl club that gets massive funds every year.

But we'll get what Desmond and lawel want not what I want

Some of the zombies coming away with stuff like he’s a decent manager so it will be close next season…

As if they haven’t been in our shadows for the last decade :56: Last season was probably the easiest one for years too, what was it about 13 ahead when we won the league with about 5 to go still lol! Méntal.

Rodgers came into an already decent squad.
This time the squad is way stronger.
If he’s been promised more fund to improve further, his signings have to be better.
Anges strike rate with signings was incredible…

Sweet dreams are made of this

    Brendan Rodgers is the bees

He'll win the cups and he'll win the leagues

    Everybody's rooting for Rodgers

    Lawell wants to disown him

Some of us want to be owned by Knutsen
