    “Trust the academy.”

Exactly what you’d want to hear if you are a Spurs fan after appointing a manager that as a fan base you didn’t really want.

Anything he came out with now would just be birthday caird pish as they say. The statement both him and the club gave was plenty for me. We've got more important things to be concerned about anyway.

Bullshit comes in all forms and guises, Ange was particulary good at it, to the point where we thought he was a breath of fresh air with his honesty lol.

As much as we all loved ange I always felt a distance he had from the club. Could never put my finger on it. I think it was his frequency to refer to the club in the third person or something. An incredibly driven person who in hindsight saw us as a stepping stone to the prem. Still bad taste that he paraded trimboli around the pitch on trophy day

Ange has shown zero ability with us to bring academy players through to make a reasonable impact with the first team.

I was being sarcastic mate. If a fan base didn’t want a manager to begin with, the very least you would want to hear is that he is going to be backed properly. That statement suggests he will need to try and bring players through as well as bringing in. Something he won’t have time to do in all honesty, as they will still demand instant success. I think he is on a hiding to nothing with the job in all honesty.

The levels of schadenfreude I'm going to get when this goes pear shaped will keep me beaming for weeks.

Hope it goes so riproaringly bad that not another club in europe will touch him again.

Ah ye I got that dude, he has no experience shopping in the market he is now in. Nor has he shown with us a proficency at developing academy players he inherits. I'm not trying to diminish his achievements with us but I genuinely don't think he identified any player brought in during his time bar the Asian players and mooy. The rest were bones of information thrown to us through I would guess lawwell jnr and the city group.

Levy: Ange, we're looking for a manager who will trust the academy and bring young players through to the first team. Are you that person?

Ange: Yesssss mate. Sure I am :fear:

Bar trophy we had been pretty * for months. Think teams had sussed as a bit and starting pressing us playing out and we struggled.

Ange didn’t have a plan B so maybe a change in manager is what is needed.

Much less attacking and creative second half of the season. Some of the football was closer to how Rodgers had us playing.

Mad that by June 14 no one will post in the Ange thread for days at a time. The Era has ended :'(

Anyways ii came here to say I hope he qualifies Tottenham for Europe and we get drawn against them. I want to see what kind of reception he gets at Celtic Park, and also what kind of reception he gives the Celtic fans

If it’s anything other than the Sonic Attack then it’s not worth talking about.

Best of luck to him. He's left us in a great position and anytime I feel like there's any ill feeling ill remember what we were like when he walked through the door day 1.

Will keep an eye on his results.

    But we move.

Ange was good for us but frankly I couldn't care less what he does outwith us.

The only benefit of him doing well is a selling point for future top managers as a way of progression. He's moved on and now so have we.
