A fitting time to remember that Celtic Football Club is much bigger than Ange Postecoglou.

    I didn’t/don’t want him to go, but……

Hands up, if anyone has at anytime changed their job for better terms and conditions…..money,ambition,promotion etc.

    yeah me too.

let’s support and get excited about the new manager.

He’s a great bloke and someone Ange will love.

All he needs is respect in the dressing room, he doesn’t need to be the main leader but Ange will be expecting him to pull his weight in the dressing room. If players like him hide then so will others.

Just shows how fast football has grown while Scottish football has stagnated.

Don't know if anyone else picked up on this but after the Ibrox defeat he took the week off. My instinct is it was around about then that the Spurs interest strengthened and him and his agent were putting plans in place.

It just so happened to coincide with our poor form and the feeling I and others had that he/we had taken our eye of the ball a bit. Looking back I think his head had been turned.

However it happened it does leave a bad taste especially knowing he was so central to our plans for next season. Signings no doubt lined up, pre season plans booked in and a new deal on the cards. Can tell the board have been absolutely blind sided, I think he's been charming them and saying all the right things behind closed doors, can tell they were about to really back him in a way I don't think we have seen before.

Really frustrating, I feel like we were just at the beginning of something really monumental with Ange at the helm, we seemed like a perfect fit. I think he'll live to regret jumping so quickly.

    Thanks for the memories Ange.

Joined at a time when the Huns had just won the league, their fans were were cocky and convinced that it was the start of a new dawn for them. Meanwhile our club was in meltdown and I remember a number of people actually writing off the upcoming season due the sheer amount rebuilding the team needed.

When Ange was hired the fans doubted his credentials (myself included) and the media and huns openly mocked it but boy how wrong we all were.

Ange completely united the club at a time we needed it most, he brought in Kyogo and the attacking football flowed it was a joy to watch and for a brief period at the beginning of his reign he made me feel like a kid again, I went into each game with a huge excitement knowing that it was going to be a highscoring rollercoaster but praying we could sort the defence out which many pundits said wouldn't be done, as it turns out we'd concede only 22 league goals that first season
The second season we scored more goals than the lisbon lions managed in the 66/67 season, what an achievement - it didn't quite work out in Europe but I felt we were hugely unlucky, results simply didn't go our way.

    Overall,

Ange joined us on a 12 month rolling contract with very little expectation placed upon him and he leaves with 5 trophy medals, a brilliant team and the huns firmly placed back in their box

For that I'll always be grateful

Son won't laze around or refuse to track back during a game, but he also won't grab a disinterested teammate and slap him around.

A problem not even Son can fix is Levy deciding Ange's wish to sell a player is unreasonable because he(Levy) thinks the player's value should be raised.

Ange would be better off staying here and getting Oh to tell Son how wonderful of a place Glasgow is. He could win trophies and be in the CL. Instead, he goes the opposite way, and can only count on one player being reliable enough in accepting him as a manager.

Yes… but I didn’t sneak off and get interviewed without telling anyone… then accept the job and disappear the next day after giving my employer a few hours notice and vanishing without even saying bye to colleagues and clients.

Dear readers, Rodgers also secured 3 trebles. But he's a rat. Whereas Ange is wished all the best.

    * clearly been scheming and taking us for mugs for months yet we've to wish him all the best.

Since we knocked back sky back in 01 and 09 we are behind about 15-20 year funnily enough though think this year or next because of sponsorship tv deal and Europe will be the most money coming into Scottish football

Except these aren't universally better terms and conditions.

Imagine you have a job you like. Pay is decent, but working conditions- especially regarding the people you work with, are excellent. Optimal cooperation.

A competing company promises you a much better salary, and shiny new equipment, but you hear your new boss is very nasty to work with, and some other people are doubtful you can make it over there, because you're somewhat inexperienced.

    What would you do?

Would you rather us burn effigies of him or pan his windows in?

He left after a domestic treble at the end of the season. Granted its caught us all off guard, but there isn't many folk out there that will turn down the bright lights and tainted funds of the EPL, anyone thinking otherwise is completely mental.

In hindsight we should have been a bit more aware of Ange's "media savviness" and shady "links" to the City Group et al. I also previously pointed out that he walked out on three (?) former clubs in his career, leaving Marinos mid season to come here. The signs were always there.

In a way the guy is a bit of a egomaniac in his own right. I've never seen a manager with so many videos, documentaries, interviews and podcasts made about him. Like they're everywhere. * even has a book about himself!

Listen I won't deny I loved the guy; I think my bitterness will wane in time, but he definitely played us over the last couple of weeks and wasn't as genuine has he and his many, many Aussie disciples made him out to be.
