It's a tough one to take Pad. I was fully invested in the guy like nothing before. I should've known better. He had me the whole way..

He wasn't faultless.....but he was very very close to it..

 

If the rumour of him rejecting a contract extension is true then this summer will be the time to cash in.

28yo, 2 years left on his deal and off the back of a brilliant season.

The new manager needs to get every penny of it back for a quality replacement and other key areas of the team too though.

None of the rest of our squad is with the same agency.

Unfortunately it's just a common thing with players, infact it's a model that we've publicly championed. Sign a player on a 4/5 year deal, get 2 years out of them and sell for a profit.

Kyogo like GG and JJ is entering his 'last big contract' era and given none of them have made fortunes from the game by virtue of playing at lower levels then their agent is only doing their job and looking after them.

The problem we have is with succession planning and with the man who was meant to be finding our next Kyogo, Hatate, CCV, Jota etc. about to walk out the door, we're going to be on the backfoot.

Don't think Kyogo plays back-up to anyone. He has elite mentality.
