And any fan giving him hate, shame on you, tbh the guy is into football because his dad brought him up on it, his dads passed away and am sure that’ll be in his thoughts his dad would’ve wanted for him to have a crack at the premier league it is the best league in the world and he’s never tested himself to that level and he’s had a long career, may as well have a pop and Tottenham have the money and potentially a top 6 club in England it’s big money, Celtic obviously bigger club but the league is nowhere near the premier league, he leaves us with a treble, and he’s a hero, won 5/6 trophies in 2 years what more could you want honestly wish the guy the best of luck it’s a difficult job with immense pressure more pressure than he had at Celtic with the board spurs have

The next manager is gonna be right up against it in this regard. Also, I wouldn't be gutting our squad just yet per Ange's demands, sacking off Forrest, Turnbull etc. There's every chance with Ange away we'll now have a bunch of unsettled players.

Hypothetical at this point and I might be in tin foil hat territory but I cannot shake the feeling that Lawwell walks back in the door and 5 months later Ange is apparently half way out the door.

If it does come to pass then the summer will be very telling.

Most chatter is we offered to make him our highest paid manager and a huge transfer budget.

No reason we can’t offer all that to someone else. We are a very attractive proposition for anyone.

    Time will tell.

Must be/ have been an awful decision to make, though. I think the bond was real, you know. I genuinely don't see him as a Rodgers style bullshitter. I don't think Spurs are the first EPL club to sound him out. He knows he could have been a legend here.

On the other hand, Spurs are a big club that can genuinely give him a real platform. While Ronny was saying his goodbyes here, they had just almost won a league title (should have won it really). Even more recently, they were in a CL final. He'll be working with elite players and pitting his wits against elite managers. It's what someone like him has spent his whole life aiming for, he's not young anymore, he probably thought the chance had passed him by and if he turns it down now, the chance might never come again.

It's not without its risks (I mean, Spurs), but maybe he felt he had to go for it.

We’ve won 8 trebles across 5 managers. Of course he’s a legend. It’s ridiculous to suggest otherwise. Don’t depreciate what he and we achieved today.

I still can't believe he would want to go there, it's not like he would be struggling for money and they could well sack him by Christmas or things could go nuclear on other ways with the way they are run.
Genuinely thought he would have another crack at CL at least and his stock would still be high enough to get a job down South if he wanted.
What do I know though, I said similar about KT staying to do the 10.

It's like getting dumped off a gorgeous girl you loved then telling everyone you don't care she was ugly anyway.

So he's leaving and drops the bomb there maybe another rebuild on. He was pretty emotional about it all and he ain't thinking straight. He's not handled this well and been burnt by the leaks from down south.

He wants to be a trailblazer for Aussie coaches. He will be the first in the EPL. Gets the chance to rebuild a team which he loves too but I think he's underestimating how much of a fud Levy is

That’s scares me because if that’s the case rangers have a head start I’d rather we keep hold of squad lose 1-2 and add 4 faces

I think it will be a nightmare job for him to take on, he doesn't take any * so dunno how he will deal with Levy. Also, with all respect to Ange, their dumpster fire of a club/squad has seen off better managers than him.
Would be nice if he could get a tune out of them but they're such a basket case it will be a struggle.

Would you class Rodgers as a legend ?

I think the word legend is thrown about too easily these days.

Legends for me are people who do something extraordinary or devote their lives to the club.

Personally I think calling Ange a legend (at this time) really diminishes the word.

It should be reserved for the Lisbon Lions, Tommy, Henrik among others.

If he leaves at the first opportunity he gets he's not a legend for me.

Of course. It’s undoubted. A *, but a legend nonetheless.

If he did reject Spurs due to Levy does he still have the full backing to take us forward as lots of people higher up know he’s working his ticket! Where does it leave us

He’s not a legend and any suggestion that he is, is frightening

From a long way out I fancied him to go after our cl run so I don't really think it makes much odds.at least the new manager will have time to get players he does/doesn't want in/out and players will come back fresh for pre season etc. All week I've been convinced he would be gone now I wouldn't be surprised for levy to leave him hanging come next week
