Big Ange was incredible for the club but if spurs offered him the job when Conte got sacked in March he would have left then. Lets not beat around the bush about it. Just fortunate for us that it happened at the end of the season. Hes done an excellent job. Spurs in a similar position to Leicester when Rodgers left.

It’s disappointing to lose a quality manager or player, but that is the nature of the game. Ange has done some excellent work to set up a great team to watch and has secured CL games for next season.

Hopefully, Nicholson has someone equally talented to step in as the next manager.

 

I don't really get why so many fans were convinced Ange was the type to stay loyal especially with him leaving his last club mid season and he walked out on Brisbane just after they won the title without any warning, did the same to the Socceroos before the 2018 World Cup. We should have been better prepared than we have been but it's hard not to get swept away by him.

But he definitely has a ruthless streak, we saw it with GG and Juranovic (ironic he is doing pretty much the same thing they got punter for) it's part of the reason he keeps his distance from the squad and doesn't get to know them personally.
