Yeah The days of long term managers like O Neill and Strachan are long gone, football was different then, considerably so to what it was today.

And anges stock is fairly high and that window is finite in modern football, Its like all those Hun players after euro final, they were in demand, hot property and they didn't cash in and now can't get rid of half of em. He would be crazy not to take it, it's the biggest story in British football right now.

Honestly can't see him leaving for Tottenham, after all the sackings, board interference etc. Hope I'm right.
I just think he's only just getting started here. Amazing what he achieved in his first season after the shambles he was left with.
Then the football we've played this season, he's even said this was his favourite season because we went up a level football wise. So I can't see him ditching when he's still building this team, seeing progress, and champions league next season.

Wish I could say I dont see him joining Spurs cause XYZ reason but if they make him an offer he’ll more than likely be off, best outcome for us that they are using him to sniff out Enrique who to be fair, would be a much better appointment.

If I was a Spurs fan and they appointed Ange (love the guy) over Enrique, I’d be rightfully furious on the face of it.

 

I hate how we're so restricted bcoz we play in Scotland.. losing our players and managers to pish teams nowhere near our size bcoz of the Ritchies in that league..we need a super League to compete and keep our managers or players and be able to pay the wages they pay or even better I'd love to see that league collapse in a mountain of debt.

 

Now that brexit has opened up markets for us while closing them off to England we should really lean into it, become a better version of Salzburg constantly producing players and managers for teams down south while raking in record fees for it. Investing in our scouting now would pay off massively down the line

 

Problems with that is they're already taking our youth who show any potential bcoz they can give these guys wages we pay 1st team player's.

 

If he leaves now he will have left having done * ALL in Europe. I thought the idea was to move us on to the next level in Europe. If he leaves now he will go down as an excellent domestic manager but sub-par in Europe. Doesnt seem that long ago when Lennon and especially Strachan were getting us into the last 16 of the Champions League. Maybe Ange is capable of having a mind blowing European campaign with Celtic, but if he leaves now we'll never know, I can only judge him on what he's done so far and it doesnt stand up to fairly recent Celtic managers.

 

Really hope there isn't some soppy out pouring of love for him after the game 2mo. As far as I'm concerned he's no better than the rest. Talked the talk and led us on but dropped his pants for the 1st sniff off attention he got from England.
If he doesn't get what we are as a club then * him, let him go.

Agree with this. If he leaves now he's walking out on a job half down and I never took him as a quitter.

His record in europe is atrocious to be perfectly honest so all he'll be rembered for in history is as a good domestic manager.

The treble would put him in a very rare group of Celtic managers but in terms of overall trophys won. He's behind all bar Mowbray and Delia over the last 20 years. Even lennon won more in his 2nd sting and he was generally pished and full of snus

 

Spurs will be the chance of a lifetime for him. Hardly makes him a quitter
