Don't know about that one. Calculated risk sure, but luck? There were many signs there that he was a top manager and he wasn't thought highly of in the City Group for no reason.

As the speculation continues to grow it seems to be increasingly likely that Ange will have a decision to make. When he was being linked with the likes of Everton, Leeds Brighton etc; given the nature of the man and the stage of the career he was at, I always felt he wouldn't leave us for some mid-table premiership team who could be as easily fighting relegation as for a European place. My feeling was that only a champions league pedigree team with solid trophy-winning aspirations would be one he would seriously consider. Spurs no doubt have their issues, which to be honest won't particularly faze a man like Ange, but they are also no doubt a top club that can offer him the chance to compete and potentially win at the highest level.
Is his job at Celtic done? Of course not, but when is a job at Celtic ever? I have little doubt that Ange would in an ideal world love to stay for another year and take another pop at champions league/ European football but life isn't ideal and you have to assess the opportunities if and when they become available. Will the Spurs job be available in a year's time? Would he likely be offered a bigger job? both seem unlikely to me.
I know that Ange has a great affinity with Celtic and I can honestly see a scenario where he remains manager for years to come and builds a legacy here, but it could well come down to the conversations he has between the two clubs in the upcoming days. Who wants him more? Who is willing to back him more? Who matches his expectations and aspirations more? Either way, I have enjoyed every moment under his stewardship and can only thank him for the job he has done and the position we find ourselves in as a club and a football team. I would love to see him stay but if he decides it's time to move on then he leaves with my blessing and my thanks.

Can't be true as Ange personally told @Blochairnbhoy he was off to Spurs at a youth football match last night :fear:

I had a look on some of the spurs fan forums and * me they are acting like they are some sort of massive club like Man Utd et al! They are * not.

    * are making out they should be getting the best manager like Pep and ducking snobbery when linked with others.

Bunch of self entitled Fannie’s who have done * all regarding major trophies and the odd wee run in Europe.

    * can’t even compete in their own league and they think they are a top 4 club in England.

Speaking of Sherwood, he and Allardyce were discussing Ange to Spurs on some podcast (yesterday?) and Sherwood apparently said he now doesn't think he'll go to Spurs. So * knows what he's on about mate.

It wasn't Ange, it was a west end * who asks for pennies or something like that.

And he's not going to spurs, he's taking his weans to Georgia. Don't shoot the messenger

So they have went from only wanting Ange to there now being two other contenders in the frame...

I'm thinking that big Ange has told them to shove their EPL up their *.

Silva is the second coming of Cruyff. Do it Spurs. You don't want the silly old Australian from the Nan League.

But but but the Sun said Ange was signing as early as next week. "Journalists" are literally just guessing at the moment. I'd just avoid these twitter pages for a few days, enjoy the cup final and not worry about it.
