If he’s gone I’d be surprised if he doesn’t take CCV with him.

It's been a great two years.

We're in an unbelievably good position.

The board should be able to get the right person in and we continue our success. It would've been great to get another year or two but there's absolutely no reason we can continue to grow and become even better.

Absolutely gutted, feels like he’s leaving far too soon.

Knutsen for me as replacement as he schooled us in the conference league

I am not buying anything the tabloids say. It's based on nothing but a man that is yet to be appointed by Tottenham knowing about our manager.

Leaving a club after 2 years who gave you the big break you craved.

Went on about how the clubs founding resonates with him. Quoting club legends.

Fans who idolise him to go to a league with no soul. All based on money and crowds made up of fans who go there on tourist packages.

    Not for me lads

Possibly, but then he won't get him and he'll immediately * off the manager he's just hired.

With regard to Ange leaving and us selling some of the players .. this is where the board earn their money.

There should be a succession plan and a list of targets already identified to replace everyone leaving. There's no reason we can't come out of this summer in an even stronger position.

If Ange wants CCV that's at least £15m. We should already have a large budget for anyone coming in.

Get someone in and get it spent and we should be absolutely fine here. This isn't the same job Ange had to do two years ago.

Awful news :54: and worrying for going ahead now. I hope the backroom team have learnt a lot from him because we might need them. The whole of Scottish Football media are well happy now. Like others I wish him well but I will never put so much faith in a manager again. We bestow too much on them and they walk away when a better offer comes along. We certainly live in different times and there's no real club commitment anymore.

The thing that annoys me is the spurs fans are such * about it too, they don't deserve him. We know for a fact he will have a grace period that he needs to get his team rolling and they wont give him it.

    Just feels * tbh.

The main thing I hope we've learned is how we need to buy and sell players and invest in a top class scouting system, especially over in the far east.

I'm worried we'll revert to the cheap European market again and try to keep players well past their motivation date.

We must make sure we've learned these lessons.

For those who are in love.....
    Deflated as * seeing that..

    Knew it was coming..

Loved the big guy. Never bought in to a manager as much as him before. The way he spoke. The way he took no *. The way the players ran for him. The way he had us playing. The way he carried his self and how he came in and didn't give a * how large the rebuild was....didn't bring anyone with him..

All that said though I'm no impressed one bit. I get the EPL attraction all day long and Spurs are a decent sized club but * *....he was never gonna be short of offers after another season..

Players I understand as it's a much shorter career.....but he's been managing for approaching 30 year. Has only really just started the project here (which we gave him his first real break) and has practically * off at the first chance, straight away I might add as the Feyenoord coach rejected them just last week. So he's given us no a lot of notice. Left us with a full squad of HIS players, many who worked/knew him previously....just as we were approaching an important part of our next build to take us to the next level..

Now we have to * about and get someone in ASAP before we go off to Japan and South Korea. Then get someone who plays a similar sort of style and hope it pays off, whilst getting our recruitment right....which would've been well down the line with Ange heavily involved..

There is no positives with this news other than we are in a really good position with

    Straight champions league qualification
Lot of money in the bank already
Gonna be off the back of a treble
Players all tied to long term deals
    Lot of assets
    No major rebuild needing done
Backroom staff all set and likely to stay
Good people now working directly with a say in Nicholson
Lawwell jnr overseeing the recruitment side
The above I'm sure we've had a right shift and got sorted as it was a shambles and threadbare
As attractive a club as we've been for many years due to all of the above..

If Rodgers taught us anything it's not to buy in to anything managers say can't say I ever put to much weight in the quotes but I felt myself he had more about him than Rodgers ever did and I suppose he is still leaving on better terms than Rodgers.

And in fairness I suppose we are surprised at the length of time he's been here it just wasn't the positive we hoped for

    This for me.

You can now get a job like the Spurs job after two years of success at Celtic, without doing anything significant in Europe.

That's got to be an attractive proposition for any upcoming manager in the German, Spanish etc. leagues, especially when you consider the budget we will now have and the players already here.
