He turns them down, I honestly think he has a chance to go down as a legend here.

At the same time, he might not get another opportunity like this. Even if he gets sacked, he'll get plenty of offers elsewhere in Europe.

Assuming we win on Saturday, I'll have no Ill will if he leaves, and I fully trust Nicholson to get a proper replacement.

Not good because it suggests to me that Ange is interested. They wouldn't making a formal approach otherwise

That Delaney is certainly not focused on Spurs, and covers football in general. Ange's not a guy who'd take a job just for the severance package. He's said something like that, and it was recently posted. At Tottenham, he'd be set up to fail by Levy. Hands tied up. Besides, he's too "small" of a name in football to be accepted.

I don't buy that tbh, the form drop to me feels like due to the changes. It could be the case but I just don't see it.

They completely dominated Aberdeen last week with a close to full strength team.

As I and other have said

Get the cup final out the way and just get a decision made. If he goes he goes and I got to know him well I won't think as bad as him as I did of Rodgers but it will leave a bitter taste from some of his comments in the last few months

You will be surprised how long I am here
Been looking for this all my football life
    Quoting Tommy burns

Nah not for me if your doing that you are defo sticking around another few years

He talks about how Georgia is settled. Kids settled. Always laughing and joking clearly money at play here didn't think he was like that but he is ambitious and maybe he thinks he can do something at spurs but he won't win anything and will never finish top4 due to the finance of the other teams

I don't either because Spurs were all in on Arne Slot at that point

They certainly never approached Celtic weeks ago mate, either informally or otherwise.
The thing that would * me off most about this happening relatively quickly after Saturday is that it would mean Ange has been talking to his Aussie mate at Spurs behind Celtic’s back. The hope I’m holding on to as much as any is that I think he’s better than that.

There is the possibility that he'll sign a big contract with us.

Or he might keep the rolling contract and take a bigger wage.

I do believe he's a totally different ego to the snake and many other managers.

See being fair to him he probably didn’t expect to seriously in the running.

Like at Leeds, Leicester, Everton and even Brighton I could see him being on the shortlist but not Spurs. As bad as they are now and they aren’t a traditionally big team they were CL regulars recently and this season has been a disaster for them. Yeah there will be struggles and they could easily go the opposite way but see if Ange thought like that he would have probably ran a mile from our job.

Plus see just from a personal finance perspective he is meant to being offered 5 times his current salary and a 5 year deal! That’s just insane from a club who have sacked so many managers of late.

Also there will likely be a London appeal from a personal perspective. What is certain though is he won’t have a club like this behind him down there.

    Exactly.

He's always talked like this, about wanting to leave a mark, to prove his method and style of football works.

You don't come to Scotland to win the domestic scene (which managers before have done with ease) and think that proves something.

He needs to (as in, he himself) prove that he can take this squad he's built and prove they can win in europe.
    Then he will move on.

And let's be honest, if he's seriously being looked at by spurs after just two seasons - then they'll (or their level) will still come calling after he wins trophies next year and proves himself in Europe.

Rodgers done back to back trebles and the best he could get was Leicester. I'm actually surprised spurs level is coming calling for him to be honest, considering his standing in the game must be less than Rodgers.

Not a slight, just how it may be.
