Made me wonder if someone had just translated this forum to him right before the game

 

At least we can enjoy the title party on Saturday without having to suffer another performance of his

 

Guy runs are world class, the way he gets in wide open positions down that left are world class... then he kicks it like a lassie who's been allowed to play at school just to fill in the 11th man. Utter disgusting for a professional footballer. His defensive work makes up for it but we do need better. Use him when a game needs shut down, not opened up.

 

He's actually ideal for shutting down a flank. But has no creativity. Oddly enough, he's crucial for us in Europe because we are underdogs. In Scotland he is less effective.

 

The guy has the heart of a lion, phenomenal pace and work rate but his ball skills leave a lot to be desired, when he came on you knew something was up as he was very aggressive which does seem to be out of character for him.

Lost the head last night, but was a one off, so not going to go over the top about it. Still contributed in the first half, with the ball for the penalty, and a dangerous cross no one threw themselves at.

After the soft booking, is when he lost it. I don't know if the crowd got to him? Whatever the reason, I hope he learns from it.

 

Was more that Miller. Was acting up all game him but played him like a fiddle..

Was him that played Ralston for the penalty as well. Just backed in, was getting his jersey held then swan dived it at the last second..

 

Maeda usually doesn't fall for all that nonsense. Could just be frustration with the last few games overall? Hopefully next time he is wiser, because more teams will try it on with him now.

 

Rightly so IMHO he is one of our most important players. Personally I hope he stays with us long term. His contract keeps him with us till 2026 when he will be 28 and thus entering his peak career years so still room for him to get even better for us too.

 

Aye very true. He's usually got the poker face on and doesn't get flustered but you could visibly see him getting wound up and played by that right back..

 

I consider him an important squad player but not a starter when all are fit.
Would be ideal for an away Euro game when we need to do lots of defending.

I'd play the same team as today in the final, Maeda can stay on the bench.
