    If
If those two don’t play for the Japanese national team there’s less chance of them picking up injury on the international break so happy enough for them to stay at home

Brilliant news, more chances for Ange to pick up another few gems from Japan & Korea. Will be huge financially as well.

It wouldn't be a surprise at all if we go on this tour and have a new face from japan/korea join the squad during it, even if it's someone we've already got scouted out now, to hang off and announce a player while we're over there would be a really smart bit of marketing.

Absolutely going to be linked with that Ito at some point. He scored again at the weekend. Definitely looks like he could be a different sort of midfielder to O’Riley/Mooy/Turnbull. Seems a bit quicker, better dribbler and excellent on set pieces.

Whereas many teams look around in South America, we have opted for East Asia, and it suits us just fine. Let's ensure decades of popularity over there, so that the dream of every Japanese and Korean boy is to play for us, not some posh snobby clubs (PSG, M. City)...

Decent age as well at 25. Good enough experience while still having the ability to develop under Ange.

Ange seems to like players at that age range who are excelling off the back of great seasons..

That Ito has 6 goals and 2 assists in the J League right now. What they played? 10 games or something. From midfield, that’s exceptional.

    He looks sensational mate..

I've watched a couple of his videos. His touch. The way he glides with the ball. His skill. His finishing. Mobile. Set pieces. Range of passing..

He looks fairly tall as well. Right footed but a slight touch of Rogic about him and Hatate. Like a mix..

That Dan reporter guy from the J league hinted that he thought it was a done deal. Said something along the lines of I've been asked by more than one person about him to Celtic and I'll leave it at that for now..

Only positives in this. Huge exposure. Good camp in Europe then some games, possibly a glamour one against a top side. Then in to the CL.

Had worse summers. Be good if the games are available to watch here in Scotland.

Set pieces? We haven't had Naka since...what...2008?:90:

I hope we get some Asian set piece mastery back in the side.

Ito would take us up a level from what I've seen.
