TBF, he’s running so fast when he hits those with his left (weaker foot). Jota did similar in the first half where a more precise pass puts Kyogo in for a tap in.

He was immense and is so integral to the team when the opposition are getting at us.

Utterly sensational yesterday I thought. One poor ball second half but apart from that he used it brilliantly every time, and his defensive work was ridiculous as usual.

Only taking one touch before crossing was the secret

most players including him, would normally have taken 2 touches before crossing

    well played sir

I was shouting and bawling at the * yesterday watching it in the pub :56:

Trying so hard to get past my unintentional bias against the guy but his * level control of the ball at times just infuriates me. To the point I don't give a * how useful his pressing game is.

We're gonna lose a prime level talent in Abada due to Maeda being first choice, it * me off massively.

I’ve never been Maeda’s biggest fan either but I thought he did well yesterday.

Abada is a good goalscorer but he can be just as frustrating as Maeda with the ball. Both are miles off the likes of Jota on a technical sense

Abada makes Maedas crossing look like Beckham, he is easily the worst creative winger I've ever saw, as a goalscoring one, one of the best though.

Its not so much because we’ll lose Abada I’m worried about, it’s that Jota is completely wasted on the right to incorporate Maeda.

It’s just testament to how good Jota is that he’s still effective on that side, but is twice the player coming in off the left.

I’ve said on here that I don’t think we can progress in Europe as a team with a player of such limited ability as Maeda in the team.

We seen both sides of him yesterday within a few seconds. Charged back to win the ball almost in the middle of the park with an outstanding challenge, then immediately gifts it straight back.

As you say, the fact he’s so poor on the ball almost negates his own strengths.

There’s a certain irony in bashing Maeda’s technical ability whilst praising a ‘prime level talent in Abada’ who has as many if not more holes in his game.

Maeda is the ultimate tone setter in this side. He was, alongside a couple of others, absolutely outstanding. The assist for the goal flying in the face of your * level of control comment. Quickest in mind, quickest in person and the ball across was perfect.

If that’s the criteria then * me Cal is in trouble too! Cal made a good ball recovery then immediately gifted it back, only to charge in and win it again, only to then immediately gift it back. Unfortunately that’s what happens when they flood the midfield and play spoiler.

The slander on this mans name after being outstanding for us again?

Maeda has been brilliant for us, never hides and gives 110% every time hes on the pitch. Again he was brilliant for us and crucial on Sunday.

Wanting Abada to play in front of him? Abada can be just as wasteful, Daizen gives us far far more.

His crossing from his bad foot can be hit or miss. Sometimes he can whip it right between the keeper and defence sometimes its out for a goal kick. But if he was perfect all the time he would definitely not be at celtic.

It really is so pathetic. When even Morelos is less of a * then you really have hit a serious low.

In your bias you cant see that Abada has too many games where he fails to make an impact.
Maeda holds down his place because even when he isnt at his best, he puts in a power of running for the team. Maeda is there on his own merit and has decent stats.

Abada is a talent, but we have had better wingers and we wont miss him if he were to leave.

When you watch the goal again, you can see Maeda taking a look at the ref. He realises he hasn't stopped the game then springs into action.
