Anthony Ralston

Weirdly with Ralston I usually think his first game back he looks like he’s just carrying on from where he left off.

Then his 2nd, 3rd games back gets smashed with rust

Cept that last one he played. Took him a solid half to get any semblance of match fitness bout him.

 

You’re fulla * if you stayed serene during them smashing the post and Sakala missing a belter of a sitter.

 

Was more I just never at all felt threatened, so was surprised they even pulled anything off lol

 

I was the same. The only time I was worried was the goal mouth scramble where CCV went down injured but on the replays the huns had about four players offside at the start of that attack. It would've been ruled out.

Also, with Tavernier hitting the post and Sakala missing the open goal.

Apart from that, they were reduced to long shots that rarely went on target, let alone made Hart have to shift across his goal.

It was * comfortable and for them 'dominating' that second half, I'm looking forward to Ibrox already.

 

Hope he gets a run of games. Johnston needed a rest at some point regardless of getting injured.

Must be mentally tough getting injured just as the number one choice in your position is sold and then watching the new guy do well. Never complains and then comes into a high pressure game and is solid as *. Some man.

They had a bit more space when Johnston went off but think that was more to do with when the support off the wings by that time. Carter-Vickers actually went and had a word for Tony to get closer to them crossing the ball..

He didn't lose a duel though and was very good in the air also..

 

Just read his QUOTE about being there for the team and not himself and wishing Johnston a speedy recovery.

I * love Ralston, man.

His attitude is second to none. We need more Ralstons in this world.

Great to know he knows his role and isn’t getting overly frustrated with it. He’s needed here.

 

I was actually glad when I saw him coming on. Aye there was a risk of him having not played much but you knew for certain he’d give it his all and wouldn’t take any * from them.

Loved the guy writing its take on Ralston.

 

Especially when you consider he has not played since the end of December I thought he played very well when he came on. Very comfortable with him being on from the start at the weekend and the next few weeks while Johnston recovers.

 

Sure he is frustrated with it, no way he doesn't want to play every game, but gets the bigger picture too.

 

Aye, that's the one.

 

Really solid today. Balls forward made a difference but defensively thought he was excellent.

 

In a team which is drilled to keep possession, he is incredibly useful to break the patient rhythm and find our deadliest players with long passes.

 

Played well today after practically a season on the bench.
Not our first choice but I’m never worried when he comes in.
The bhoys Celtic through and through.
