Disagree completely. Iwata's assist was an assist in that he was just the last person to pass to McGregor, not that he did anything particularly good to create the chance. Assist numbers can be misleading. We were lucky that the shot was deflected into the net too. He created a chance in the 81st minute from his cross, and he was linking up play all across the front line. It felt like late on it was just Kyogo, Mooy and Vata that had any urgency in trying to get us a win.

 

That last bit is absolutely spot on..

 

It was more than a pass before the goal, that was a top bit of skill to control that and get it played onto McGregor for his shot, did he expect it to be a goal after that, probably not, but it still was a cracker of a movement.

Mooy might have played it forward but not well. Vata yes, he should have had at least 1 assist and kyogo was kyogo, always trying, he's our beautiful bhoy

 

Disagree it was a top bit of skill but it was nice to look at. It was a simple pass.

Mooy played it forward fine.

 

Our dip in form has coincided with Mooys dip in form.

 

So we'll need to wait until the second half for Mooy to save Celtic.

 

And he's back!!

 

He was immense when he came on..

 

Took control of midfield when he came on as we were being swamped.

 

Was really excellent on and off the ball. Some top drawer tackles..

 

Did his job well. Almost always does.

 

Basically every touch he made was perfectly precise in finding a teammate. Also tackled, pressed them, just what we needed with how the game was when he came on.

 

Top marks for Mooy from me too.

 

Looked like his usual self.

 

The ferocity he came in with was something else. Solid set pieces, too.

 

Snapping into tackles and winning some key 50/50s which you wouldn't normally associate him with. Usual foot on the ball calmness when he could aswell.
Top lad.

His contract should be and will be extended. Deservingly so.
