People were asking the same question about Rodgers prior to his unexpected departure. Ange has done a phenomenal job, but at the end of the day Martin O'Neill led us to a european final. It's hard to beat that.

 

The hierarchy of Celtic greatness is as follows:

1. Stein

2. MON - got us to a final

3. WGS, Lenny & others - Championship winners, credible European ventures

4. Postecoglou & others - domestic success, not done it in Europe (yet)

5. Rodgers - human-rodent chimaera

 

In Ange Postecoglou's time at Celtic the best signing has been who?

 

Has to be Kyogo.

 

So many great options. CCV, Hatate, Kyogo, Maeda, it's very difficult to pick just one. Gun to my head, I'd probably say CCV.

What I like the most about our transfer policy is we go after players only if they fit our system. We have created a specific identity. The same goes for the CCV signing. He's * colossal in the open play! Might even be better than VVD in that regard cause he's more mobile/explosive. He's a bit undersized in dead ball situations, but let's face it, if he were 6'3"-6'4", a) there's zero chance we would have signed him and b) he may not have been as mobile as he's now.

There’s the obvious ones like Kyogo, Maeda, Jota and Mooy, but personally for me it’s the big bearded * CCV!

 

Hard to separate them and that's testament to how good a job Ange has done and how shrewd he is in the market. I love the transfer policy as Ange doesn't * around , want to leave? then see ya! Able deputy lined up asap.

Harsh reality is we'll lose some of our better players but instead of being down about it I find myself more excited about who he brings in as a replacement , take JJ and AJ for example as I thought " * , he'll be tough to replace " then I watch AJ and smile as big Ange has upgraded to first class.

Ange is very clever and keeps the revolving door moving when it comes to transfers , he knows it keeps things fresh as the new blood comes in hungry to compete and desperate for success.

An old school manager with an ultra modern transfer policy as a greenprint , all hail big Ange.
