Does anyone else think it's possible that there's a cloud over Celtic just now due to Tommy's passing away?

I've lost people close to me before and it does take a while to get back to normal.

We beat St Mirren and drew with Dundee United, the hardest game you'll get all season barring Ipox.

It isn't as bad as people are making out and when we do kick into gear, as we are threatening to, everything will be rosey in the garden.

    true, and lack of talent.

we have imo anyway, 2 absolute fantastic players, i won't name them, incase i offend anyone by not including there favourites.

but we should have more than that.

i dont think so, i think its just a case of us starting bad ....as usual we always draw or lose a game at the beggining of every season we'll get back on track

No, they should take motivation from tommy's death and fight and try that bit harder. I just think its down to there being no spark what so ever and limited creativity its been this way for a while...

It's got to be about desire to win, training together and just being plain and simply the better team. Tommy Burns is a legend and the players will always feel emotional towards him but they are profesionals and just like losing a popular workmate have got to get on with the job which they will.

"No" this team only produced a consitant standard at the tail end of last season, they have been un-balanced non coherent and more than patchy for almost two seasons.

This season will be no different it took criticism from the fans and the press plus terrible tragedy to get this team fighting for the jersey. I don´t want to go through all that again just so this team can perform well. I hope I am wrong but we may well have been kidding ourselves on over the summer. Eight decent performances in the league does not make a team and if we are all honest we all know that.

It will be another season of inept, boring and disjointed performances, it can´t be anything else as we have the same players. The only way it will change is if we add some creativity, pace and defensive quality to the team.

It´s quite simple really better players produce better teams and better perforemances.

You speak for yourself when you say that ellboy, i don't think we were inept at all yesterday we simply lacked a cutting edge in front of goal. If McDonald hits the target with his back post header we don't get this mass panic ensuing.

Don't agree with the Tommy Burns thing, and as some have said, this seems like mass hysteria. We got a draw at Tannadice, ffs, hardly crisis material. 2 games in, and panic is setting in.

Dont think it has anything to do with Tommy but I dont think we should be getting worried anyway. 4 points out of 6, 2 games into the season! Theres a long long way to go lads and we had the same number of points after 2 games last season.

currently.. mcgeady but i liked lennon and bbj
we are in third place by the second game and we ahvent even played one old firm match yet... secondly rangers has only played weak oppositon so far...
and gin by the first two games the accies look to be a strong contender and im sure theyll fall off soon enough and im assuming be midtable
and as to us having only two fantastic players...how about nakamura, boruc, hesselink, mcgeady, and in my opinion mcdonald.... if you think their are only two "fantastic" players in that group you are just plain wrong

The death of TB would do nothing but inspire the team to greater things so thats not the reason. There is no crisis going on at CP, just lacking a cutting edge, final ball etc It'll all come good hopefully starting against falkirk

ellboy , couldnt agree more with what u said performances have been patchy for last few seasons , no everyone is going to start shouting about 3 in arow but if were honest , the team is crying out for some creative quality for a long time now . r at least a contribution of goals from midfield double figures from some one , if improvements arent made to this team , well do nothing in europe this year , last 8 is a long way off . hope peter lawell and strachan have something up there sleves cause we should be building on the achievement of three title wins , if we cant get quality in door now we never will .:shamrock:
