mcdonald the next larsson?

Next Larsson my plums.

He's more than a one season wonder, he's a good player for the standard and can bag the odd chumps league goal.

Larsson was world class

 

I would hope he is as good as Larrson time will tell. I am just hoping the No7 shirt
isn't cursed after he left everyone else who has played in it have been disappointing.

 

give the number 7 shirt to caddis, he is showing potential more than anyone!

 

Nakamura being out is a great chance to play Caddis at right mid... I hope Strachan sees that.

He won't be the next Larsson; i don't think he'd want the pressure of that tag anyway. He cud go on to be a great striker however. Did a wee bit of research and big JVOH has scored a goal every 2 games on average. He's hugey important to this team yet a lot of people still slate him.

While I can't see scotty reaching henrik's level....when henrik arrived at paradise he had already played in a world cup (I think Sweden came third?) and he had quite a few years under his belt.
The question is meaningless.
What may have been interesting is....how many goals would scotty score if lubo was in the team? Or how much better off would scotty have been to get a few years a henrik's under study....look how maloney benefited.

 

Never be as good as Larrson but could well be a Legend!!

 

There will never be another Larsson end of.

 

I don´t think McDonald will be the next Larsson. Maybe there will never be one as special/good as Larsson unless we clone him:icon_mrgreen:

We are debating on whether a guy is good for Celtic....and he scored 30 goals last season!!!!!!
In his forst season for us he has been magnificent....how many did HL get in his first full season?
I think he will become a great player for us, whether he becomes a legend?....time will tell

 

Nah dont think skippy will do so good this season. Mind you he might come up to his game but not impressed me in pre-season or the St mirren game so hopefully he makes a better performance in the dundde united game today

 

I'd be happy if he was to become half the player that Larsson was. But in saying that nobody should be putting any sort of pressure on him to become the next Larsson.

Larsson would often drop wide and then cut in aswell as play direct, and if needed you could pump the ball in the air to him as i've never seen a player with his high,dominate defenses.

McDonald is a different type of player because he only really looks to play direct, but you wouldn't want to play long with just him up front, although he does get his fair share of headed goals

 

Henrik carved out his own legendary status with Celtic, so no thier will never be another Henrik Larsson, nor is McDonald in his league, good player who can score goals aye - capable of of coming close to what Larsson achieved - no.

If he does go on to become a Celtic Legend he'll do it off his own back.

in a word .....no. henke is the king was the king and always be the king.
i like skippy but he rushes and panicks to much for me in front of goal.
needs to be a bit more composed i think.also i very much hope he is not a 1 season

i put a fiver on each way goalscorers in the bookies yesterday, Kris Boyd, Scott McDonald And Wayne Rooney.

rooney will obviously miss about 20 sitters, but mcdonald should score, especially after last week

 

i voted next celtic legend, he will improve with age and i dont think his first season was a fluke..the guy is just awsome lol i hope he finishes this season like last. :bbpd:
