Id love to see a couple of games with both jackie and kyogo in the side, feel a bit sorry for the big man and hope he stays.

 

I would agree, he could be, he is a quality player no doubts at all, but can't argue with kyogo in form, earlier when kyogo wasn't I was saying that he should have been getting starts but right now it's hard to argue he should as * as that is. Id be giving him the start in the cup, no reason not to, it's about rotation and getting the team used.

 

Urawa are owned by Mitsubishi, which is supposedly the reasoning behind them being able to afford the fee for GG ?

 

Japanese media not often wrong, don't seem to make * up like over here.

Could see this happening, but would command a hefty fee for the J League.

 

According to transfermarkt the record transfer on the j league is 11mil euros with 7.5 next and 6 after that, if we wanted our 6 mil pounds that would put him at the 2nd most expensive of all time in the J league

 

Not sure it would command the payday that I'm sure he's expecting from his last contract.

Giamakis was the Dutch top scorer in 2020 with 26 goals. He has scored six goals while coming off the bench in 14 of his 18 games so far this season. Looked a lot more up for it when he came on today and he got on for longer than his last few cameos which might have been because of the positive meeting with Ange that @McGrory1888 mentioned in the Cho thread.

 

He really was good when he came on today and so unlucky not to score. Hit the bar twice with great efforts. I was really pulling for him to score.

Giakumakis won the top scorer (26 points) in the Dutch 1st division VVV in 2020-21 with a height of 185 cm as a weapon. He joined Celtic last season and scored 14 goals to win the title. He has scored 8 goals in the official match this season, but the game continues to hand over the regular to FW Kyogo Furuhashi.

Sad to see him go but what a signing that is for Urawa and he'll enjoy the style of football over there.

 

Genuinely will be gutted when he goes but I support the way we are trying to run things now.

I think he’s a cracking player, severely underrated by many and he’s the type we’ve missed over the years.

 

If this happens quickly we need a replacement in the door ASAP!!!
