Well I thought he was excellent.

Excellent at giving Sakala a free run at our goal, amirite?

 

I love JJ but he was horrendous today. The way the Zambian Scott Wright got past him to set up Kent was particularly wince-inducing.

 

It's understandable if you come on and just have a bad game, it happens, but it looked like he wasn't even trying today. Was genuinely the most frustrated I've been with an individual player's performance for a long time.

 

Sakala did * all until JJ came on. Shocking performance.

 

Didn't actually think he looked unfit, just some really poor decision making and lack of commitment.

Agree Ange should have brought on Bernabei instead, but also think starting Johnson at RB was a much better call.

 

He was awful today, eff knows why.

 

He wasnt fit and playing out of position... he was * Awful and probably shouldn't of been on the pitch

 

Made a genuinely abysmal winger look a player today, was all over the shop.

He’s quite clearly a far better player than that so can only assume he’s checked out mentally.

 

Either unfit or just couldn't give a * today. He's played well at LB for Croatia and us so zero excuses for that today, positioning was laughable.

 

Or he is only back from a world cup on a come down, playing a different style, with different players, different climate, on the wrong side he is used to. He may also be checked out no one really knows but him. Let's give the fella a wee break shouldn't have played today and it's a boot in the balls to the supposed 2nd choice lb

We will find out the situation on his play and hunger for us in next couple of games

 

Doubt it was anything to do with fitness today. He gave everything for Croatia and us before the interest from other clubs. Before the world cup he was shirking tackles and not at his best for me and was even worse for it today. Looked scared to even sprint!

 

Made one run where I thought here we go. Came to nothing.

Other than that think you are spot on. He's now someone we want to make money on, not rely on.

 

That 1 run he ended up frustratingly offside.

 

Celtic rejected a bid from Chelsea supposedly today

 

His head isn't with us.

Only played out of necessity.

Bernabei wouldn't have been trusted in this fixture yet, and rightfully so.

Hope he moves on ASAP.

 

Shame that his last game for us was a complete howler. Early days, but I actually think we'll be better off with Johnston.

 

If anything the World Cup should have gave him a lift the same way it has Maeda and CCV.

Can accept players having bad games, it’s always going to happen but I don’t think he was giving 100% today. To me it looked like a guy who’s main focus was not getting injured and that to me suggests his head is elsewhere.

 

The sooner we get him and Giakoumakis sold and continue our own building of our squad the better.

Juranovic looked like a junior player today, yeah he was out of position at left back but positionally he knows how to play full back and has played against genuine quality players this season and not looked out of place.

Sakala can be awkward as he is unpredictable because he doesn’t know what he’s doing next but he is technically very poor. To be made look like a complete diddy by him is a red neck.
