Lots of interesting selection decisions for Ange, especially if Taylor is out (no idea what the extent of his injury was when he came off)

Would you throw Bernabei in? He's still pretty raw and seems like a prime candidate to react to the provocations that would undoubtedly be directed his way. I guess you'd have to unless you were going to play McGregor at LB (unlikely) or potentially Hatate. Maybe Ange surprises and plays Juranovic LB and Ali Johnson RB.

Juranovic is almost certain to come back in regardless I think, so that means with Hatate back in the middle, there are 4 central midfielders all with a good claim to start. McGregor is obviously 100% and Hatate also almost certain to start. On form it would certainly be Mooy for the other position, but I think O'Riley gives a touch more mobility and physicality. Plus that McGregor/Hatate/O'Riley combo are all really comfortable in their respective roles. If you throw Mooy in, either he or Hatate is playing in that right CM position that O'Riley typically plays.

On the wing, Jota and Abada have both terrorised them at various times, but Maeda was brilliant tonight and having him on the left helps with Kent. So big decision of Jota or Abada?

 

I don't think juranovic will be playing. They're not going to risk am injury and * a potential move for big money.

 

Taylor will be fit

This one is pretty simple. We turn up to a man then we overwhelm their slow midfield and ropey fullbacks and cruise on out of that shitehole with 3 points.

 

We're miles quicker than them on and off the ball..

We're quicker moving it. We have more pace all over the pitch. We press better and ultimately win it back quicker..

We have more goals all over the pitch. More options off the bench..

We need players with experience who know the score in playing against the Huns.

 

Agree with this. Harsh as * on Mooy but O'Riley has always turned up against them and is brilliant at pressing and winning the ball back in midfield, which we'll no doubt need with them throwing everything at us.

Monday can decide the season. Those * will do anything for a win but even a draw may give them a wee bit of belief. Beat them and it is over, watch them crumble.

We just need to be on it from the get go.

They will kick lumps out of us and get every decision their way. VAR will be on overdrive to catch us out. They will be right up for this, the players, the ref, the linesman and the cheat in the VAR room.

We will need to score at least two goals.

If O'Riley must play, then he ought to swap places with McGregor. In case of long balls from the Rangers back 4, he can cut some out with his height. His shots are poor, so, back away from the goal.

 

This is the team if Jura and Taylor are fit, no question about it.

 

He was key for us in the games against them last year, but hard to drop Kyogo when he’s scoring and GG hasn’t been getting a lot of minutes. GG would bully that defence though which will be needed, they’ll come out and try to be physical.

 

Giakoumakis hasn't been in the best of form recently and Kyogo will be on a high after scoring last night. I can only see the latter starting.
