I think it would be a very good move on our part.
    And I suspect he will.

If Welsh isn't getting near game time for us, personally I hope he does go. Definitely a player there, can see him doing well in France, Spain, or Italy.

Welsh is getting punted out loan. I know others see a player there, and are hoping for the Ajer loan effect, but I can't see it. I don't rate him in the slightest. He's a spl CB and we need better cover that can be relied upon.

I'd be looking for another striker, a new RB , and another centre mid.

    I'm a greedy bish

Does this break allow you more time to look at January signings?

No, not really. I said a couple of weeks ago that we have done our planning and we know what we need to do. We will remain alert till the window opens. The reality is Mark Lawwell has already completed a bulk of that work along with his department. I sort of come in at the tail end and look at what players fit. This time allows me to plan for the summer window rather than the January window, as a lot of work for that has already been done.

Summer window in November!!! This is brilliant to hear and sounds like Ange is in no rush to leave either .

France, Spain, or Italy? april fools?

another scottish league team is more his level i think

Even better wait until he sees what is coming his way in Australia !
He knows all about the club and the global pull, but it will hit home when he returns to oz - love the flexing of the muscle to scotland in regards to players available for the turkey game - show that up your var!

If we could have had 3 or 4 players from our recent past our CL adventure could have been very different.

If we hadca Dembele or an Eduard we'd have taken more of the chances. Even a Hooper or a Leight Griffiths at their prime would have burried a few more chances.

If we had a Scott Brown or a Wanyama we'd have protected the defence more.

If we had a VvD or a Denayer or Benkovic or Julien in his price then our defence would have been stronger.

Finally if we want to be greedy if we Had a Forster or Boruc we'd have been ven more solid.

The striker position is possibly the most difficult as although neither Kyogo or GG seem to be up to CL level, niether deserve to be spending long periods on the bench. Also an upgrade on either, unless we get lucky with another Dembele, is likely to cost more than we could pay.
With Hacksa now adding goals to those scored by Jota Abada etc I think our goal scoring situation is as good as it'll get for the near future.

I think Hart is fine for now and could be better with more protection.
So for me the priority is to find the next Brown/Wanyama. Once that is done we need the next VvD.
If we just get those two I'll be happy.

Griffiths at his best was a good poacher, I never really rated him but he stuck the ball in the net. Benkovic would have been a step up on Welsh.
But both of those are the poorest examples of the players I mentioned.

If we had the team of 67 we would probably win it ..... I get what you mean but looking to past stars to cover the crappy ecl campaign this year, we will be saying the same when Jota, CCV etc leave its the cycle of a football team sadly.

Just trying to show that the players we need were out there a few seasons ago and were happy to come to us, even if only as a stepping stone.
So there's reason to be hopefull that the players we need are still out there, we just need to be focused and find them

only ever rem one good game at home to that israel side he scored a cracker free kick
mc gregor has never performed for celtic in europe - i recall a few guilt edge changes he missed against germans incl bayern munich.

in europe we need to pick up draws minimium and at home win to ensure progression whether in europa or CL.
I always liked a mitrovic type - bit nasty, good physical strength and can use the head for crosses etc.

europe is small margins - in first shak game GG and Jota could have made it 2-1, in second home leg kyogo could have made it 2-1.

Look forward now focusing on tonight - good solid win with no injuries and no var headaches and set it up for a home win at weekend and enjoy world cup with a 7 point lead, fingers crossed hearts actually turn up tonight but wont count on it.

simple terms any good team always has a solid spine - keeper, 2 centre backs, 2 good midfielders and a 25 goal striker - in terms of wingers - quick and direct with an eye for goal.

Keep chipping away and if CCV and Jota move on they will get the club 15 mill - 25 mill which can always be reinvested.
Vada seems to be progressing hopefully we keep in, shame about Doak prob more his agent in his ear

If you're not sure how good Griffiths was at putting the ball in the net, ask Joe Hart.

Horrible wee waster but he was very good for us for a period of time. Can’t stand him but some rewrite his history with us. Remember loads of people being gutted when he was injured before playing the huns and Moussa played (Dembelation derby)

Celtic manager Ange Postecglou has explained how detailed his research is before he commits to spending money in the transfer market.

The Greek-Australian is well underway with targets for the January transfer window but is confident that having enjoyed considerable success with players so far in his dealings at Celtic that he has the full and firm trust of the Parkhead board. And when it comes to identifying the traits he wishes in incoming players, all avenues are explored.

“Every decision I make, I try and flood myself with as much information as possible,” he said. “What I am good at is sifting out what is useful and what is not but I have always relied on information. Ultimately it comes down to a judgement because you could have three players and there is not much difference between them in terms of qualities and then it comes down to my experience and my judgement.

“But before we get to that stage information for me is everything and not just around transfers but every decision I make. When I start a starting XI people make their judgements but they have a tenth of the information I have when I make that decision. Maybe if they had all the information I had then they would come to the same conclusion. You need to have good people around you and a good scouting network and a good recruiting area which we have now with Mark Lawwell. They do all that work in terms of gathering information and then we make that decision.”

No European games left so makes no difference if he's homegrown. Should be sent out on loan at least until end of the season to get regular games then a decision can be made on whether its gonna be him, Jenz or someone else to be 4th choice cb for next season.

He can't just be allowed to stay at the club forever simply bcoz he's homegrown...... He's not John Kennedy
