Both really good goals: a great run and finish, then a lovely bit of control and a great finish.

    Go on Mikey!

Vitoria fans seem to really like him. Seen a few miffed about them not having an option to buy. Apparently Vitoria pushed Celtic on this and wanted it included in the deal but we refused point blank because Ange sees him as important for his project. So those thinking he will be moved on may be waiting a while. Of course if he continues to play well and Vitoria or another club are willing to shell out we may well sell but I don't see it. You don't secure a loan deal this good for a player you want rid of.

I think if it wasn't for the injuries affecting his development and confidence he'd be an important player for us by now. He has the ability. If he stays injury free and gets a lot of game time this season it could be like signing an exciting new player when he comes back.

Lawell your retired now. We don't need the old "like a new signing" line rolled out :56:

It really could be and that was most likely Ange's thinking too. He just needed a run of games to get his fitness and confidence raised. Unfortunately we couldn't afford to give him that with how we play and the stakes we play for. So sending him on loan to a good league (better than our own lbr) for a mid table team who play the kind technical attacking football we do where he will get game time was the best option. Much like Celtic they seem like a nice group of players who have welcomed him, which is good for his confidence.

Think we underestimate the pressure of playing for Celtic. Lots of players can’t handle it but do okay elsewhere. Couldn’t see him ever making it here but good luck to him.

If Ange agrees he would have told the club to let Vitoria have the option to buy they wanted. Who is to say with a season there to build his confidence and haven proven himself he is going to come home the same player who left?

I hope so actually. He's one of those players who's gotten an unfair amount of criticism and would be great for him to shut a few moany * in our support up.

Yes he's been frustrating in moments but the reaction from some is way OTT for me.

Pleased to see him do well and I’ve never doubted his technical ability, but until he proves it consistently for Celtic then I’ll have my doubts over him. He’s not as developed as a player as he could be and that’s largely not his fault due to the injuries, but I’d be a bit surprised if he returned next season and became a regular for us. Looks like this loan move is really good for him so far though.

This loan move could be the making of him, always had ability, just needs to gain some confidence, will be under no pressure over there. It was just that his decision making was rank.
