I don’t know how anyone can deny him being nowhere to be seen at Shakhtar’s two best chances tonight.

At the first one his positioning was genuinely Juniors-level.

To call that ‘deranged’ is hilarious. What is also hilarious, is when he’s eventually replaced and you lot kid on this weird worshiping never happened.

Again, I’m dealing with examples. At least ten users have replied to me tonight, and not one have detailed any examples.

And I never called him a juniors level player. I said his positioning at their first major chance was juniors-level.

As for the Ange quip. He sanctioned £4m to be spent on another LB, who he’s been increasingly playing.

Imagine a manager signing another left back when we only had one, and that same manager utilising squad rotation... :56:

Evidently Taylor has done something awful to G40B. This isn't about football is it?

Didn’t think he was capable of playing the way he has this season. Well done wee man

They have detailed examples. The pass to GG that led to him being brought down and the guy booked, the pass to Maeda that set up a good chance, the pass near the end when he seemed to have nowhere to go and found a pass to CVV with his right foot. There were numerous tackles and winning the ball back.
You don't seem to understand how we play either. Have you noticed that when we have a corner Taylor is usually around the 6 yard line so if teams break fast he's one of the last guy's who's going to get back. You go on about his positioning being poor when it's actually good.
You're clearly the one with the weird agenda.

Fair enough. You’ve actually given examples.

I’m not saying he was bad, but I just don’t buy that he could be MOTM after being found wanting at two gilt-edged Shakhtar chances.

    Because I have a point.

As I said, if I was saying the same thing in the Giakoumakis thread, I’d be shot down immediately with examples of his good play last night.

You already have been shot down but by numerous examples of “good play” last night, yet here you are still banging on about it.

Don't understand how you can still have an agenda on the guy tbh.

For me, he's been our best player in the CL campaign so far, and probably our POTY. His worst game was against Real Madrid, where he was average at worst. He was our only good player away to Leipzig, and was fantastic in the other 3 games.

People bring up his lack of Speed/Physicality, but if Taylor was faster he would be nowhere near us, he'd be at a PL team. If he was Physical it'd be the same. Any doubts whether or not he's good enough for us has long since been forgotten.

Bernabei has a lot of good qualities too, Tynecastle was just too much for him, but I suspect he'll learn from it. We have two solid LB'S, but Taylor is clearly first choice.
