Didn't really bother me, he only did it in the heat of the moment beating the huns again.

he had every right to do it....a remember when the huns did a celtic huddle after they beat us to win the league at celtic park....and when gazza did his infamous "flute" gesture as well to the celtic fans.

yes, we did kick up *, but, doing the huddle and mimicing a flute is a direct attack on celtic and celtic fans..artur wearing a GBTP t shirt should not offend rangers supporters as their club is meant to not discrimanate against anyone no matter their colour creed or religious beliefs but thats clearly not the case as they took offence to that because they are biggots....they say they accept catholics well their attitude and reaction towards boruc clearly suggests otherwise.

waveing a flag at rangers fans at ibrox is a direct attack on rangers.

the bottom line is he does these things to wind them up. i hate all this religion stuff he should do it/ he shouldnt do it......... the whole thing is a wind up if rangers didnt hate catholics he wouldnt do it

This is a hard one, quite a few points to each side, anyway...

Personally it didn't bother me in the slightest. The guy was just proclaiming his strong faith which there is absolutely nothing wrong with. But, lets face it, you can't deny that Boruc was doing it to wind the Huns up. I very much doubt if we were playing our bog standard SPL match against St. Mirren for example, he would have considered parading about in a t-shirt depicting the Pope. And it worked, they were raging. But this also brings up the point, even if Boruc had have done it against any other team, would their supporters have acted so outraged? I doubt it.

As far as I'm concerned, there was nothing wrong with Boruc doing what he did. He has the right to show his religious beliefs. It's the Huns own problem, if they really are THAT offended by such an act, they should really take a look at themselves.

He didnt offend me and although it was maybe the wrong place to do it, it made me happy to see that he wanted to express his feelings about his religion!

Remember blessing yourself is not a crime

in a dig at arturs prayers and beliefs werent working as celtic were loseing in the league.

If the aim realy is to get religion etc out of football, then Boruc is out of order even taking the blessing himself incident in to account. Someone already said on here that this could have been taken out on some fans after the game, I have saw
this happen so mainy times in the past. He does not have to walk the streets of Glasgow like our young people do. All he done was take himself down to their level. not very clever.

mate that doesnt make any sense!?!

if everyone should know that they shouldnt have a problem with the Pope or the Queen as heads of Christian Religions, then why should a photo of one or the other cause this ''controversy and uproar'' your speaking about.

If Hun's fans are petty enough to get wound up over that thats their pathetic problem... not Boruc's.

Did Non-Christian Religions go into controversy when the World Cup winning Brazil team wore ''For Jesus'' on the t-shirts r when Kaka wera's his ''I belong to Jesus'' t-shirt... answer is simply.... No.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon

Good post. Also, plenty of African / South Americans also cross themselves when they come onto the pitch - Adebayor is one that springs instantly to mind.

Don't hear any mutterings of discontent then....
