Bobo's been great for us, but at the same time we have been really * good to him. For a long time now he's been paid for either being injured or as a mere reserve player. The club obviously need him t move on, he's been offered a similar contract elsewhere, but chose to leave it. As much as I respect its his decision, I find it a little disappointing. He's got one more year here. Then its done. Were he to go to Wolves he'd get this year obviously, but may even play on for another year or two, further cementing his financial position. Think we can all agree that it was perhaps a bad move to gi e him such a long contract but again, at the time we were scared of losing him. At the end of th day its a real shame that he has one way or another dipped away from our first team, but there's nothing that can be done. I just really would hope his loyalty to the club would encourage him to perhaps make a decision that benefits the club and keeps him in a similar position. * it, i'm sure Celtic would be happy to pay part of his wage, even if its 2-3 grand, just to free up the 20 or so more. Bobo, your a big brutal legend mate, but it'd be nice if you found pastures new so we could remember you as the dominating bruiser you were, rather than continuing to be portrayed as a money grabber.

What was your reaction at the time to Bobo's clause (he asked for it) where he could pimp himself around Europe for a higher wage after signing this 4 year contract. Do you remember that??

He showed no loyalty to Celtic, now the shoe is on the other foot and you defend him. Get yourself a reality check and off your moral high horse that you've found on the internet.

If he gotten the chance he would have left when we needed him the most. Don't forget that

Nope, he has a year remaining on his contract but Celtic are waivering a transfer fee just to get him off the wage bill. He has agreed to leave if he can get similar wages from another club.

Can see Balde just doing a Bogarde, to be honest.

shocking to think dempsey at the age of 33 he is still asking for the contract he received when he was 28-29 ,roughly 32grand a week , quite full of himself

Not really. Why would he take a wage cut when he could quite easily stay on roughly 32K a week at Celtic, even if it meant playing the reserves?

I'd take 32K a week to do * all, mate.

If he hasn't got the ambition to play week in, week out in the spotlight anymore then you can't begrudge him.

Well this was agreed 4 years ago, Celtic offered it he accepted but the problem is that he has fallen from what he was and doesn't want to move for first team football unless he gets similar wages. He can do it but he taints all his achievements at Celtic for doing so.

He could have moved for first team football, got a nice wage for it but rather take the money and play reserve football. What a fall from grace.

He definately goes up there with Wiston Bogarde

If he hasnt the ambition, he shouldnt be at Celtic. His ethics are appalling.

His ethics may be appalling, but you can understand his situation perfectly.

It's exactly the same as Winston Bogarde's at Chelsea.

i know about all the arguments that we have had on the subject of bobo balde,
forget the money for a minute ,bobo is not needed at parkhead basically ,he has not played first team on a regular basis in over 3 years ,professional footballers want to play first team all the time ,so why is he still here ,has he lost the the determination to be a footballer or what , he cant be happy sitting in a stand ,or playing reserve football ,he has had upteem chances to move on ,and probaly some good offers at that ,he is not here for the love of celtic ,thats gone long ago ,in 5-10 years time ,he will be haunted by the decisions he has made ,he has wasted nearly 4 years as his time as a footballer and there occupation isnt a long one anyway ,i liked bobo as a player and believe he could still do a job ,but not at celtic ,so now the money question, why is bobo still at parkhead ?,easy answer lads

He's still at Celtic because he wants the money. No one else is willing to offer him the kind of money he is on at Celtic, so he is staying put.

Clearly his determination to play regularly isn't fully there, so he is willing to take the money without doing much. I don't see how he will be haunted by the decisions he's made if he doesn't really want to play that more.

Crap attitude, I know, but you can understand it.

shame really when it comes down to it ,not on the money side for him ,for the talent he did show ,basically i feel he retired from the game when he was 29 ,in years to come he will be known as a guy who was a money grabber:50:

Meh, I'll remember him for performances like the one at home to Barcelona when we won 1-0.
