Indeed... it's so good that the Pirates of the Caribbean stole it and re-used it, lol. :56:

It always happens, and surprises me big time when I'm putting them all together, lol. But as I mentioned with this one in particular so many movies got votes, quite a few that didn't make the top 100 and the spread was so wide that even a single vote could rocket a movie up the list.

Take my * up with @Hope N Ur Heart rankings not initially included (and only using this example as it's fresh in my mind), The Hangover was originally in the 30's, but once added his in, it ended up like at 12 or 13 or something. Massive jump and the weight because of a single '1' vote.

Downfall (didn’t realise this was the film that gets used for the hitler parody’s haha) I should definitely watch it tho.
And these 2 I’ll add to my watchlist too

Dead Man's Shoes I can't say had heard of before this. Don't know but it's completely slipped by me also. * for the others, would highly recommend all of them. Horror as a general rule is not my thing either, but it's more than just a horror, it's different class and definitely also worth checking out, for what it's worth. :50:

What a list of top class films. Quite a few highly ranked ones I’ve never seen so I’ll make my way through those!

Well done Taz. Can’t imagine the amount of work that goes into that.

Thanks Taz. Some amount of work you put into this.

I got a bit affronted at the last ranking I took part in and seen how high some of the picks were :giggle1: and some surprised me this time as well. However as Taz says a single vote can make all the difference.

I’m obviously biased here but if you haven’t seen City of * I highly recommend checking it out. Incredible movie.

I was pleased to see Gladiator get the top slot, not just because it's a fine, fine movie, but also because it was the first DVD I ever bought.

Which means, now that I think about it, I must have got the actual DVD player and the film on the same day so I'd have something to watch.

    :84:

    Again, great job Taz.

Cheers mate, and yeah, that's how it works, more weighted to the higher ranks, and as can see just how many movies recieved a '1' vote (it's like 16 or something).

City of * is absolutely brilliant and highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. Think it only got 3 Top 10 votes, but the votes it got were all in the top 3 (think it was 1,3,3 off the top of my head).

Downfall is the same with all of it's votes being Top 3's (think that was 1,2,2) also and Let the Right One In got more support but it was a little more varied, while Pan's Labrynth also held it's own. Really great to see such a strong representation of non-English language movies from this era, when throw in some of the others that were featured lower down in the countdown.

I really miss some of these movies - really all 4 of them are brilliant - since losing my sight it's just not possible to revisit them, as things currently stands...

Ok, done feeling sorry for myself, lol.
