    Totally agree, FFS Mo Johnston was years ago yet were still trying to get one-up on them, maybe when we start operating as a debt-free business we will begin to have a vision for the club.

    I just had a wee peek at some cardiff forums as well mate, their gutted, they loved him. They all seem to rate him highly. He'll do fine in the SPL and if he can step up to CL level then none of us can complain. Its a big price tag for a defender, so they must be confident about him. I trust them

    Predictable, it isn't anything new really. They think because they compete in pre-season they're our equal.

    Fact of the matter is players coming to Celtic, or rangers if im honest, are under more pressure than ANY club in Britain. You either sink or swim up here the pressure is that intense. Hopefully Loovens thrives under the watchful eye of 60k passionate fans.

    I think the 2 centre backs we have are quite poor. Fair enough Caldwells came on a bit, they still aint Champions league material.

    I think Loovens will be a great signing and a first team regular before too long!

    3 million for a player in his last year of his contract when they didnt want to pay 500k or so more for Tamas, Im not to keen on this signing but if he does sign he will receive my full backing as does everyone else who dons the hooped jersey :50:

    I dont think money was the only issue over Tamas. Heard the longer they negotiated the more time GS had to look at him and had a change of heart.

    Looked amazing at the euros but I bet he's had a few howlers at club level.

    I disagree and so does Strachan but what are we without opinions? :celt_2:

    Our centre half pairing is our centre half pairing, it's doing it's job just now. If either get injured or 1 loses a bit of form then we now have quality ready to slot in.

    maybe more time he spent with him the more his character came out.

    I have faith in Walter Smith picking out a gd centre back . . . Its taken a couple of years 4 caldwell to come on and even then he's only had a dozen or so really gd games!
